The Chain of Command

Unknown

"They’re getting closer to discovering each other. It’s only a matter of time before one of them breaks the last wall.” The woman on the screen said in an angry and coarse voice.

“Don’t worry too much about it,” the being cladded in golden armor on the other end of the screen replied. “Besides I believe we’re closer than ever in making sure that wall never gets broken again and they still don’t know that we’re hunting them

“You believe you’re close?”

“Watch that tone with me human and like I said close. And It’s not like we know exactly who they are, we only know what the prophecy told us”

“Is that what you want me to tell the council?”

“How bout you remind the council that I’ve already found and closed ten of the eleven walls. And that I have my servants tracking every being that matches the prophecy description while they’re sitting on their asses acting all high and mighty.” Said the golden armor being in a rather annoyed tone.

“And it’s only a matter of time before one of them sets off the traps I’ve set throughout both of our worlds”

“Yes but time isn’t on our side,” the female voiced replied sharply. “They are already getting too close to the age description and even if we can, let alone, find one before they met it's going to be difficult especially at this age when their powers are starting to take effect.”

“I know better than anyone how essential time can be.” the golden armor being said, tapping his clawed finger on his desk. “All we need to do is find one and they’ll lead us straight to the other. And if they don’t there’s always the chain of command." The being said in a rather dark tone.

There was a long pause before the female voice replied, “Hopefully it doesn’t have to come to that.”

Erin Crowley: The concept here is really strong, but the execution is definitely lacking. Tenses, grammar, etc are all off, with at least one or more errors per 'Page' on my phone. The writing style is almost broken- sentences move into each other awkwardly, and are filled with an excess of "filler words", lik...

Ding Fernando: very nice read.so realistic you can hardly put it down,i really like the character so human despite posessing immortality and eternal youth.though i would prefer a better ending..i still love this novel and i am recommending it to all sci fi fans to give it a try .you will love it too!!

Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette. I read the first couple chapters, and I enjoyed your writing style and am excited to see where you take this story. My com...

Bri Hoffer: I couldn't put it down!! The characters are all incredibly likable, and it's so descriptive you can see, smell, and feel thier surroundings. Great story, and very well written. I cannot wait for follow up stories. there were a few grammatical errors, but nothing that I could move right over.

izzymerchant: This book is truly special. The plot, the characters and the way the story flows is so engrossing and magical that I found it virtually impossible to put down. The character relationships were particularly fascinating and Melenthia's character was fascinating. Cannot wait to see what happens next!

littlebunnypoopoos: Omg this was so amazing! The ending was a little bad and predictable. But otherwise, I need a second book or I'll die :DThe character development was excellent and the whole romance, action, and suspense was superb

Stephen Warner: To start off, I am thoroughly impressed. The writing style is somewhat unique, and the plot seemed to move at a nice and steady pace. However, I was not expecting this to be a vampire book! I am usually not one for novels about vampires, but I was pleasantly surprised! You wrote with such grace a...

Hawkebat: Playing both Kotor I & II and Swtor I found the story line interesting and it held me until chapter 35 Very good story and plot flow until then, very few technical errors. I felt that the main character was a bit under and over powered, as it fought for balance. The last few chapters felt too f...

borkarprasad: Nicely laid story. Needed a little more ghost and Raven conversations. Initially, Had everyone on suspect list but satisfied by the precision to capture the killer. Waiting for more Raven and Cade adventures.

snowview03: This is the first book I have read on this app and I loved it! When I read the title I thought about the hunger games, but this novel is so much more. Lauren Sanby: This is an excellent story. Very gripping and keeps your attention throughout. Hoping the author is writing a sequel because I'd love to read more about Rhi and Andreas and find out what else Rhi is able to do with her powers.

Shweta Somwanshi: I just chose to read this out of nowhere and now I can't stop. Hats off to the author who made the reader swoon away with words so beautifully!
