The Chain of Command
Unknown
"They’re getting closer to discovering each other. It’s only a matter of time before one of them breaks the last wall.” The woman on the screen said in an angry and coarse voice.
“Don’t worry too much about it,” the being cladded in golden armor on the other end of the screen replied. “Besides I believe we’re closer than ever in making sure that wall never gets broken again and they still don’t know that we’re hunting them
“You believe you’re close?”
“Watch that tone with me human and like I said close. And It’s not like we know exactly who they are, we only know what the prophecy told us”
“Is that what you want me to tell the council?”
“How bout you remind the council that I’ve already found and closed ten of the eleven walls. And that I have my servants tracking every being that matches the prophecy description while they’re sitting on their asses acting all high and mighty.” Said the golden armor being in a rather annoyed tone.
“And it’s only a matter of time before one of them sets off the traps I’ve set throughout both of our worlds”
“Yes but time isn’t on our side,” the female voiced replied sharply. “They are already getting too close to the age description and even if we can, let alone, find one before they met it's going to be difficult especially at this age when their powers are starting to take effect.”
“I know better than anyone how essential time can be.” the golden armor being said, tapping his clawed finger on his desk. “All we need to do is find one and they’ll lead us straight to the other. And if they don’t there’s always the chain of command." The being said in a rather dark tone.
There was a long pause before the female voice replied, “Hopefully it doesn’t have to come to that.”
