Slow Dancing with the Prince
We went to the middle of the dance floor and our friends followed us. Damien and I looked into each other’s eyes as we moved in slow circles. A lot of couples were dancing and our friends were around us as we got lost in each other. I could feel the aura of all these people. They were at pure bliss. Being with their loved one.
Just holding each other or seeing each other was enough for Damien and I. The people who weren’t dancing (for example, the King and Queen for whatever reason) were around us watching everyone dance. Soon more people cleared out leaving only us and our besties. I buried my head in his chest and Damien’s hands rested on my waist as he pressed a kiss on top of my head. Suddenly, I felt an energy. I didn’t know what it was or care about it. Everything I want is here. My mate and I at peace. I pulled back from his chest and looked into his eyes.
“I love you,” I blurted out. My heart froze. I wanted to kick myself. What have I done? Even though we had plenty of sex, we haven’t said those three little words. I just felt like a big idiot. What would he say? I’m still 17 and he’s 21! What if he doesn’t love me?
All these thoughts that were circling my head suddenly came to halt as he said, “I love you too!” and kissed me. I heard a lot of gasps from the crowd partly because they all heard us confess our feelings for each other and partly because an energy created by emotions was causing everyone on the floor to float whilst dancing. I honestly didn’t mind it. If I was with anyone else, I’d freak out. Heights are one of my fears so, levitating always made me feel uneasy even with my Gem. Now, I felt like I was in heaven.
About 4 hours later, we were drinking champagne and chatting to our friends. It was 11:15.
“Oh please, girls don’t care about anything other than makeup and singing! DO you guys even know how the world was created? Do you even care?” Liam scoffed, “Look, I’m not trying to appear like an asshole but no woman I’ve ever known something that I don’t about the world.” As much as I don’t want to admit it, Liam is right. I’ve never really thought about how the paranormal world was created. Was it by some kind of energy? Or a person? What or who was created first? Which species were created first? Who or what created us?
Suddenly, my vision started to blur. Oh, I thought too much. This must be the past.
There was nothing. Only darkness. It felt like I was shaking. Then I heard something. Wow! That is the most beautiful melody ever. Unexpectedly, there was a huge ball of light and several planets and a young beautiful lady formed out of nowhere. OMG! That’s the Moon Goddess! Then she created 20 human shaped figures: 10 women and 10 men. One of them looked like my mom. That IS my mom! Wait a fucking second! The moon goddess created my mother? The moon goddess created witches and warlocks first? This is epic!
“Hayley? Hayley?” Damien whispered. Of course! The others wouldn’t be able to tell if I had a vision or if I was just zoning out.
“Yup! Mind and soul right here with my body! Where it belongs.” After Damien and I realised that I was having this vision thing a lot, we decided that I would make a code to let Damien know that my mind was still here and the vision was gone.
“What did you see?” he asked, still whispering.
“Nothing important,” I lied. I kind of wanted to teach a lesson to the guys. Girls don’t know anything? I’ll show them!
“We know plenty of stuff!” said Mel. Ok, back to the conversation at hand.
“Ok, then ask us things we don’t know about the world!” Liam challenged. This is going to be so easy!
“How many types of werewolf bites are there exactly?” Cat asked.
“25,” Devin replied.
“A vampire’s most prized possession?” Mel asked.
“Their mate if they have one, if not, their soul,” Ryder responded.
“A witch’s true secret?” Ana asked.
“Could be anything about their inner magnetic control,” Damien answered. All eyes turned on me. They were waiting for me to give a question. I smirked.
“How was the world made and by who?” I challenged and the guys shared a few worried glances.
“That is not a valid question since no one has an answer to it. No one can even time travel to that moment because of the extreme power level,” Liam tried to defend the guys. Damien smirked at me, he knew exactly why and how I got the information.
“I believe it is a valid since I have the answer. The world was made by the corruption in the atmospheric energy and that’s how Harmonics was created and Harmonics created the Moon Goddess then the Moon Goddess created the 20 original warlocks and witches first.” All of their eyes widened at my answer.
“Why should we believe you?” Ryder asked.
“Yeah, show us some proof,” Damien added smugly.
I held out my hands to all of them, “Give or take.” We took each other’s hands and formed a little circle. This is a spell that I always use but it had to affect 7 people now so I needed a bigger amount of energy. I was basically giving them access to my memories but I made sure to ward off anything before the hour. There was a slight heat flowing from my body as I closed my eyes. Then suddenly, I recalled every detail of my memory from the darkness to Damien whispering in my ear.
“I guess you know 1 thing that we don’t but it still doesn’t show that you care,” Liam said.
“Well, how do you explain Hayley seeing it in the first place? She must’ve been really curious to see that!” Mel defended.
“Urgh! Whatever!” Liam retorted and me and the girls giggled.
I’ve got to admit it, this is the best Ball ever!
About an hour later, people were starting to leave. Casandra asked me to join her whilst saying goodbyes.
“It has certainly been the most amazing Ball I’ve ever been to, Queen Casandra!” said Bandon. He eyed me from top to bottom. I sent him a glare and he smirked in return.
“Thank you,” Casandra replied.
“Until next time,” Brandon gave a quick kiss to Casandra’s hand and took mine in his. I glanced at Damien from the corner of my eye and saw him starting to walk towards us when Veronica (that bitch) went next to him and placed her hand on his chest. She is so dead! Brandon kissed my hand but his lips lingered on my hand a few more seconds than I wanted. He smirked at me and said, “See you later!” Or never. I just nodded.
I turned to Casandra and began to speak but she interrupted, “It’s alright. Now go before that idiotic girl gets her hands all over my son!” I smiled at her and walked toward Damien.
“So, why don’t you come to my place tomorrow?” Veronica asked Damien. Seriously? She was asking my mate to practically have sex with her?
“I said no. How many more times do I need to tell you?” Damien retorted. Wow! My mate would never fall for her tricks. He loves me and I love him.
“Hmm… Until you make it clear to me that I wouldn’t want you,” she said seductively. I’m going to kill that bitch. Ok, calm down! We’ll play this how Ana told me to.
I stood next to Damien. He wrapped his arm around my waist, I rested my head on his chest and he kissed the top of my head and I said, “Let’s go home. I’ve got a great idea! Why don’t we go to the gym tomorrow?”
“Anything for you!” he replied making Veronica scowl and me blush.
I looked innocently at Veronica and said, “Oh, didn’t see you there, Veronica. Well, I’ll see you at school.” That’s all I said before dragging Damien up the stairs to his room. This was going to be pretty awesome…
