Chapter 1
One day, in the land of Arendelle, there lived two beautiful girls. The name of the first one was Winter, the daughter of Elsa; the name of the second was Summer, the daughter of Anna.
Winter, the older sister, was fifteen, and very pretty. She was poised, calm, and graceful with soft blue eyes, flowy brown hair, fair skin, and ice powers inherited from Elsa. She was very humble and modest.
Summer, the younger sister, was eleven. She had a strong, humble spirit, modest style, and a caring heart for her sister. Her complexion lives up to her name -- strawberry blond hair and hazel eyes. Her face was dotted with freckles and finished with a lovely smile.
One day, Winter was about to become queen. She wore a beautiful white dress. When she looked at herself in the mirror, she decided to change it. She used her icy powers to create a silky white dress made of snow. A long cape trailed behind her. “Stunning,” she said, flaunting herself in front of the mirror. But then she scolded herself. “No, Winter. Be humble,” she reminded.
Summer put on a bright purple dress. She curled her hair and put it into two braids. Winter braided her long hair. The coronation began in an hour, so they had to get ready. Winter was so excited to become queen that her heart became cold with pride at the thought of wearing the crown.
It was time to leave. Winter created a beautiful ice chariot with her powers. They rode to the palace where the event was held.
“Are you excited?” Summer asked.
“Yes I am!!” Winter said, but Summer knew her intentions. She just felt not to say it yet.
As they rode, Winter created a pair of delicate ice gloves to cover her hands so as to not reveal her powers during the coronation. She looked calm, poised, graceful -- the way a queen is supposed to be.

The crowd was silent. Winter walked gracefully to her spot.
The master holding the crown told her to remove the gloves. Winter did so promptly and obediently.
The beautiful crown was placed on her head. The crowd rose and clapped for the queen. Winter bowed, then gracefully left the stage.
“I am the queen! I am the queen!” Winter flaunted to Summer. As she said this, her hand shot up, releasing ice and snowflakes to the floor.
“Winter, there is something funny about you. You seem a little bit -- boastful,” Summer said secretively.
“That’s because I am the queen! Use your head, Summer. Why else could I be boastful?” Winter said.
“You are boastful because of your beauty. I heard you say ‘Stunning’ as you got ready for the coronation. AND you are arrogant because you are the queen now. Just because you are the queen doesn’t mean that you think you are better than me. I am your sister!” Summer said. “What happened to that humble spirit I have always known and loved before?”
Winter didn’t say anything, but she began tossing snowflakes around. Suddenly, she had an idea. She ran to the cold north. Using her ice powers, she formed an intricate ice castle. When she was done, she came out and shot snow up in the air, as if to say, “Get a load of me, Summer!”
Summer became irritated. In a determination to stop her sister from becoming cold with pride, she ran to where Winter was. She began talking to her sister.
“What are you doing here?” Winter stormed.
“I’m here to stop you from your pride,” Summer shouted.
Winter smiled. “I’m so much better than you. I know I am your sister, but I am still better,” she said arrogantly.
Summer persisted.
Winter’s pride overtook her. She struck her sister with a big blast of ice. The ripples of the icy current struck Summer in the heart! Summer froze to a block of ice in front of the castle.
The wind calmed down.
Winter turned to see her sister, frozen solid. All at once, she realized how snobby and prideful she had been. She ran to Summer and burst into tears.
“I’m so sorry! I have been so arrogant and snobby with you. Will you forgive me?” Winter sobbed.
The ice slowly melted from Summer’s body. Winter saw her sister and gave her a big hug.
“I forgive you,” Summer said.
“Thank you! Thank you!” Winter said. Something was changing inside her heart. Her cold, prideful heart slowly melted away and her humble spirit returned. She was now the humble, modest, and graceful person Summer had always known and loved
