Chapter Five

The ride was long and silent. Anger hung in the air, never leaving. I rolled down the window letting the cool air hit my checks as I watched the passing cars. We flew past them like we were on the Autobahn.

“Maybe you should slow down?′ I told her. Anger still filled her eyes. Those beautiful green eyes that I want to stare into for the rest of my life. We traveled along the coast for a good three hours before finally reaching our destination. When we pulled up to the house, my jaw dropped. Amelia looked over at me, and then looked back at Tony through the rearview mirror. She took in a deep breathe before passing through the gates. After getting onto the large property she finally exhaled. I heard her whisper to herself something and the gates closed. She pulled over and got out of the car. I stepped out to see what she was doing.

“Lass niemanden diesen Ort sehen. Lass niemanden mich und die Leute an diesem Ort finden. Schützen Sie sich vor denen, die Schaden anrichten. Lassen Sie die Person von einem Coven-Schrittfuß. Du sollst vor allen verborgen sein. So soll es sein! (Let no person see this place. Let no person find me and the people in this place. Shield yourself from the those who will do harm. Let person from a coven step foot. You shall be hidden from all. So mote it be!)” She chanted with her arms spread out wide. She first said it facing north toward the house, then went clock wise chanting it over and over. A feeling of security fell over the property. I looked over at her, the light from the moon making her hair shine. Her eyes, not only were they that ice blue color, they seemed to be glowing. Actually glowing. She walked over to me and smiled. We were a good mile or two from the house when she opened the door from where we stood. Objects came flying out, placing themselves into the trees. “These are charms and wards to protect the property and the house. Do not touch them, and DO NOT leave without me knowing.” She said in a stern deep growl. My eyes grew wide, I had never been spoken to in this way before. In fact, I have always been the one to talk like this. I began to feel irritated by this.

“I’m sorry principessa, but no one tell me what to do.” I walked up to her grabbing her arms. I looked down into her soul claiming eyes. I could the slight fear fly past with in them.

Once I finished hiding the house with a glamour my Oma taught me, I set up protection charms and wards around the area. It was my turn to do the protecting. I got them into this and I refuse to let them die because of it. “These are charms and wards to protect the property and the house. Do not touch them, and DO NOT leave with out me knowing.” I growled to him. I stared him down watching and feeling the emotions change from fear to irritation. He walked over to my and roughly grabbed my arms. He looked down into my eyes with slight rage and lust.

“I’m sorry principessa, but not one tells me what to do.” He said to me through his teeth, his voice was deep and rugged. He continues to focus on my eyes. I began to just melt in his hands. I felt a tingle between my legs, knowing how wet I was getting. He smirked and let me go. I let out a breathe I wasn’t arware I was holding in. “Don’t worry too much, I want go anywhere. I’ll sure Tony doesn’t either.” He told me getting back into the car. He sat in the drivers seat. I got in on the passengers side. “Now lets go to the house shall we.” As we drew closer, I could feel my ancestors around me, I felt safe, I felt secure. I began to wonder why I never came here when I ran. The house was an old victorian style house, with a wrap around porch and a greenhouse attached. There were two garden that still seemed to be thriving even though no one has lived here in years. One was in the back filled with vegetables and flowers, while the one upfront contained herbs and flowers. I finally felt at peace.

He pulled up to the front of the house, putting it in park and turning it off. I got out of the walking in. Everything was exactly as I left it. I went up to my room pulling out a pair of plaid sleep pants, a cami, and a cardigan. I grabbed my glasses, and walked into the bathroom to remove the contacts Antonio provided for me. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and walked back down stairs to Antonio and Tony looking around in awe.

“Welcome to my family home.” I said leaning against the wall in the kitchen. The spun around and looked at me, then began examining the room again. “This is where I was born, and this is where I grew up. That means this is where my powers are the strongest. This is where they grow.” I said to them.

“That is why you could move this objects by just thinking, you didn’t have to use you hands.” Antonio said. I chuckled. I looked at him and thought. ′oh no I could always do that, here or not here. Distance doesn’t play a role either. I just felt the need to show off a little.′ I sent my though to his mind. I watched his face as he heard my thoughts. He looked down his eyes began going back and forth. He looked up at me.

“No, you silly banal, you didn’t not get telepathy by stepping foot in this house.” I laughed. “Sending my thoughts to you head is just something I can do while I am here.” I told him. The shock on his face began to fade away. I nodded his head understanding. “Your rooms are on the second floor, there is one to the right and one to the left, both are last rooms on either side of the hall.” I told them. “I suggest you get settled. We are going to be here a while.” I told them walking into the kitchen. I walked past Antonio catching a wiff of his sweet cologne. I loved the way it smelled. I grabbed the home made earl gray bags and made myself some tea. Once it was finished, I walked outside to the rocks near the edge of property. I sat down on the rocks sipping my tea, looking out across the water. I knew I was going to have to eventually leave this place and fight Flynn. I just needed to rest and regain my strength.

I watched from my bedroom window as she walked out to the rocks. I was surprised she didn’t recognize me yet. I was one of her closest friends at the academy. I am almost hurt. She betrayed us all. Flynn was right about this dude, he knew these events would happen. I don’t think he knew she would bring me here though. I don’t think he saw the glamour coming. I am going to need to find a way to get her off the property alone. That way I can take her back to where she belongs.
