Prologue

A long time a go there was a king who had a big castle. The only thing he wanted was power and a stronger army. People around him didn’t believe he could win anything because he lost so many wars and so was it for his father before him. But one day he decided that he will ask a warlock to create new sorts of humans for him. He was tired that everybody laughs behinde his back and said he couldn’t win anything. But the warlock the king found said it was impossible to create new humans and even if he could do it was a price he didn’t want to pay. But the king didn’t listen, the only thing in his mind was power and madness so he took the warlocks family.

“If you don’t do it, they die.” The warlock was scared when the king took his grandchild and almost push him in the big ocean. The warlock begins to work, but all the create new humans was forbidden in the warlocks law. All the other warlocks would kill him or give him the worst death there ever was, but his family was the only thing he could think about. But after 5 whole days, he could only do two humans, one man and one woman. The king was really mad, he only wanted men, hundrets of them. But he only got two and one was a woman. The warlock couldn’t do anything, his magic was gone and also 25 years of his life. that was the payment to create the new humans. But there was something with the new humans, the king didn’t see that at the beginning. They looked like normal 20 years old humans, but their hair and eyes were something the king never had seen before. The king took them to his kingdom and hide them in the castle and tried to teach them to fight. But they never listening or say anything for 3 years and the king got more angry with them. But one day he screams out his anger ” The only thing I want is power, POWER. And you two cant give me that.” The two new humans didn’t show any emotion, they just looked at the king and their eyes begin to changes. The king took a few step back and wonder whats happening to them. The women begin to speak. ” If you want power, you must do this. The future has many ways but this is the only way to get power”. The king listening and begin the plan they said he must do. And it works, everything they said happend, and the king got more power than ever. But after 20 years the king was happy with a little family he got, but the new humans was sad. The king never let them meet any other people and they had seen so many people with happy life and how their future would be, in their head. The king saw that they couldn’t ages, they look the same after 20 years. They never eat or drink anything.

But one day the king begin to be very old and weak and it was soon time to give over his crown to his oldest son, Richard. The king never told his family, not even his wife about the new humans he had in his basement. He thought for a long time and decided that his oldest son will only know his secret. On Richards 20th birthday the king took him down to the basement. His son was really shocked when he saw the two naked humans in there. They were beautiful he couldn’t even dream about people so beautiful with the strange hair and eye color. He looks at his father. “Who are they? and why are they down here?.”

His father looked at them with hard eyes. ” the new humans, I forced a warlock to create them and I have my reason I won all the war.”

“What do you mean?.”

“This two can see the future and they tell me what to do so I can win.” The king smiled and caresses the woman’s cheek. She didn’t move or anything like she was made of stone.

" How long have they been here?,” Richard looked at women and saw sadness in her eyes.

The king looked at him for a long time. ” 23 years son, they have been here for 23 years.”

" 2...2.....23 years, dad are you crazy. Why did you leave them here?.”

" I didn’t leave them, I keep them here for safety.”

" You didn’t keep them safe, they are humans.”

" New humans, not like us. The warlock who create them lost all his power and 25 years of his life. Don’t you see, with them we can get more power and know what will happend in the future.”

Richard looked at the women and lift up her face, so she looked at him. ” Whats your name?” she didn’t answer.

“Answer!!.”

Her face begin to move slowly. Her skin was white like paper and her face didnt show any life or feelings.

" I don’t have a name, I never had.”

Richard was mad, his dad taught him to always care about all people. And his dad has never cared about anybody so he punches his dad hard.

" You can’t do this.”

His dad falls down the floor and holds a hand on his head.

" You little....” the kings face was red with anger.

Richard was ready to punch him again, but the man stops him.

" Stop, he is dying.”

“And?. Don’t you care what he had done to you?.”

The man looks at the women.

" Sister?” Richard looked at her when she stand up and begin to go to the king and the boy follow her.

“What are you doing?“, the king looked at them.

" You are dying, you dont need your emotions anymore”, said the man and put his hand on the kings head and push him down, the women did the same.

" Stop, STOP!!“, the king screams.

Richard was going to help his dad but stop when he saw the black smoke that comes out from his fathers mouth and eyes. The new humans begin to breathe it in and tattos begin to show all over their bodies.

“Wha.....w...Wh....” Richard falls down on the floor and looked at the tattos on their backs. the tatto changes like it didnt know what it should be.

The man stand up and laughs. ” God, this is amazing. It feels warm inside...”

The women looked at Richard and smiled. Her face was more alive than before.

“What did you...”

“Stop”, the women put her hand over his mouth.

“Your father is not dead yet, he just doesn’t have any feelings left”.

Richard looked at his father and at the new humans. He took a deep breath.

" How long does he had before he dies?.”

The man giggles and looked at him.

" A few day nothing more.” The man begins to dance with a big smile on his face.

Richard looked down at his fathers lifeless face and whisper. ′ im sorry’.

" What are you going to do now?.”

The new humans looked at him. ” Run away far from here, but we want names”.

“Names?“.

They nodded. " We want names.”

“What happend then mother?,” asked the little blackhaired girl on the floor and looked at her mother who sat in a chair at the table.

Her mother smiled. ” Richard gave them name, but nobody know what names. The new humans ran away, far away from the kingdom.” The mother pick up her daughter in her arms and looked at the book.

" Does it tell what happend to them?.” The girl looked at the pages and waited for answer.

Her mother took a deep breath. “No, Richard didn’t know what happend to them. But this is just his story when he was king. Anna this is just a story and that times everybody thought vampire, ghost and warlock existed.”

The girl looked angry at her mother. ” I think it is true.”

“Swee......”

“IT IS TRUE!!!,” scream the girl and run away with the book.

" Honey, come back with the book!!.”

Charlie_8472: Recommended to me by a friend, I thought I'd give this a read. As a hobbyist blacksmith, the blurb certainly caught my attention. I found the sentence about them drinking, dancing and fighting a strange combination of activities, perhaps a reflection of the writer’s personality and humour. Howeve...

ram123: Beautifully written novel, engrossing from start to finish. Great story, clever and imaginative adventure of two young sisters in Victorian England. Schaelz: I was intrigued from the second I started reading, and it kept my interest the whole way through. Chelsea has a way with words that will enchant you until the very end. catd69: Karim is a very talented writer. When I started reading his journey it took me into the book and I was in the story till the end. I've never felt this way with any other writers stories. If you want to read a gripping adventure, this will be the one book I would suggest you pick.

ElNachoWOTC: The grammar is tight and easy too read while packing a great vocabulary and you use a lot of vivid imagery with your words. One of the biggest things I noticed right away is the gritty realism you managed to cram into this book while going into a lot of exotic fantasy material. Including issue...

Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette. FinnTH: I hope there is a sequel to The Knowing Ones because these characters are very distinct. The imagery of the forest and Adriana's connection to the woods is powerful.

RodRaglin: This is an interesting approach to a very topical subject. I hope you go on to explore the reasons behind the increase in teen suicides as well as tell an entertaining story.I like that you start with the inciting incident - the announcement of the suicide.
