Blurb

When Kyra Crysaline received a call from someone unknown, she was told that she is the Keeper of the Hostium Diamond. Finding the idea really absurd, Kyra disregarded the incident. But when strange people started to hunt her down, Kyra knew that she had no choice but to find the legendary diamond before it was too late, while discovering shocking facts of her family history.

Prologue

My life as a regular teenager has been turned upside down by one simple sentence: You are the Keeper of the Hostium Diamond. After that, I was repeatedly hunted by strange people who were convinced that I knew where the legendary diamond was.

You see, diamonds held power. Every diamond held a significant amount of energy that could be manipulated to one’s needs. From casting magic to something basic like communication, diamonds can do almost anything.

There are seven major diamonds that are well known across the world. The first is a blue diamond, shaped like a typical diamond while the second is a red diamond, which is usually quadratic shaped. The third is a purple diamond, triangular shaped, while the fourth is a hexagonal shaped orange diamond. The fifth is a rhombus shaped yellow diamond and the sixth is a white spherical diamond. Lastly, we have a green diamond shaped like an octagon.

Each colored diamond holds an individual purpose. For example, green is usually used for healing and blue to summon water. But when combined in different ways, the diamonds will turn into a more powerful diamond which are called Special Diamonds. There are five major Special Diamonds that are most commonly formed.

The first is the one that is easily formed: the Flame Diamond, while the second is the Star Diamond, which generates an energy akin to lightning. The third is the Hypercube, which contains the elements of all the seven major diamonds while the fifth is the Time Diamond, which varies depending on what and how many diamonds you fuse together. Lastly, the most explosive and dangerous diamond: the Supernova Diamond. It can be formed by combining an existing Flame and Star diamond or you could do it the hard way by fusing six diamonds together.

These are only just the basic diamonds known and found or created, but nothing beats the Hostium Diamond, whose origins were unknown to everyone. The information about it had long since turned into myths and legends, but there was just one thing fixed about it that had many people try to find it.

The Hostium Diamond was said to be the most powerful diamond on earth that could either protect or destroy the world. But it has been lost for centuries, way before I was born. And now, it is up to me to find it before it falls into the diamond coveting hands of Ethel White and his henchmen.

My name is Kyra Crysaline, and I am an orphan. When I was five, my parents perished in a fire that was caused by a haywire flame diamond. Ever since then, I have been living with my best friend, Macie, who is also my confidant.

It all began from the day I received a diamond call from someone named Esther Lane, who told me that she knew what was happening and that she had the information that I needed.

Alice Liu: Whoa! I've been wondering how would the Maurauders react to Harry's life and here we go! YOU ARE THE BEST! All the characters are consistent with their personalities shown in the book! I love how you compare Lily with Molly and it's definitely true for her being a mother! I wish Peter comes have ...

ga1984: I really enjoyed it! Characters were deep and plot was pretty complex. A bit on the violent side but it doesnt detract from the story. Very dark but situations make sense. Ends kinda abruptly and later chapters will need some editing work. I'm assuming there's more in the works?

Deleted User: This is a very clever story in the style of 19th century (and turn of the century) Gothic writing, very reminiscent of Stevenson's The Body Snatchers or even of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (less so of Frankenstein itself, since the author is more minimalist than Shelley's florid, Romantic rhetoric). ...

internathunal: I was held captive by your sense of style. I would love to see more from you. I enjoyed this immensely.

John Reed: Seadrias masterfully captures the impressiveness and complex scope that a science fiction novel should provide while carefully crafting an entire universe that will leave a reader in awe from start to finish. The only flaw I could find is that I wish I could have read more. This book is certainly...

summerstone: Seriously this is one of the best books I've ever read. The plot is intriguing, I love the narrative style. Its very descriptive and unique, with minimal cliches. Elizabeth Robbins: 4.5 starsAs far as apocalypse stories go, this one took a new direction. I'm glad someone finally addressed the need for a vampire apocalypse! This is sort of a multi-genre festival of delights. With hints of forced societies, vamps, hunters, romance, apocalypse, government conspiracy, and thrill...

dd1226: I love reading about other countries and I think this story about Cambodia after Polpot creates awareness of the tragedy that happened there and the actions of the U.N. to hold elections. : This is a very interesting book - mostly because the heroine is quite charming and well rounded, and has very real issues to manage in her life. Most of all,. CookieMonster911: The story overall was an adventure that is appealing to any age. The way the characters develop adds a more human characteristic to the novel.
