Perfect

~Can you comprehend it.

When I met you.

You were perfect.

The perfect person in every way.

I loved you.

Now give me your heart,

and I'll lend you mine.

PERFECT.~

I met someone today.

I had forgotten that love was possible. Luke was my first and last love after all. But this boy, this boy was different. Can you comprehend, a second chance at life. Can you comprehend a way to be happy finally.

That was why I had to end his life.

That was why I had to kill him.

Because he was absolutely, positively, in every way whatsoever, perfect.

The perfect man.

I met him while taking the bus home. He smiles at me and I smile at him. "You're beautiful," he says to me. "Too beautiful."

"Thank you, you're wonderful," I speak gently, already picturing myself tearing the man's heart from his chest. My, how I have changed so quickly from one thing to another. From martyr to murderer. From saint, to villain. From victim to victimizer. My. As the stars align do we change and turn from one person to someone else entirely. Someone incapable of letting go. Someone incapable of forgiveness. And someone no longer capable of love.

I just want to be happy again.

I just want to feel as much joy as I had that night that I met Luke and we watched the stars together. I want to feel his hands over mine. I want to feel his twilight green eyes stare into my own. I want him. I want him. I want him.

"Will you go out to dinner with me," he asks. "'I'd like to get to know you better."

"Of course," I smile. The pleasure was all mine. "And your name."

"Liam."

"Liam. How sweet," I say. "I'm Angelina."

"Do you like me?" He asks, leaning in closer. "Cause I like you."

"Let's just say this, love," I whisper back. "You're perfect."
