♤Chapter 1♤

I was fast asleep, and having a peaceful dream when I suddenly felt someone jump on me. I opened my eyes and found that it was my best friend Ellie.
“Ugh, why did you do that E. I was having a peaceful dream,” I wined. “Well sleepyhead, if you don't get up soon we are going to be late for school.” After processing what she just said, I quickly jumped out of bed and went to my bathroom.
I hurried and fixed up my auburn hair, and put on a flowy green dress with a white corset. I then grabbed my satchel and rushed out of my room and met up with Ellie.
“Took you long enough,” she said jokingly. “Well it's not my fault I woke up late, I just have a weird sleep pattern.” “Hahaha, well okay we better get to school if we don’t want to be yelled at.”
We then rushed out of the castle and took off on our wings, flying to school. Once we got there we rushed inside and barely made it. I was lucky to have most of my classes with Ellie.
I’ve known her since we were toddlers, so we're close. I was zoning out, looking out of the window because the teacher was droning on and on about something boring.
Once the bell rang I rushed out of that class with Ellie.“Hey, do you maybe want to skip school?” Ellie suddenly said out of nowhere. “What! We will get into big trouble though.”
“What can go wrong though, I mean you are the princess.” I quickly thought it over and finally decided what I wanted to do. “Fine, but let's sneak back into the castle and hang out in my room.”
After that, we flew back into the castle and snuck into our room without any of the guards noticing. “Okay, what do you want to do?” I decided that we should go into the secret garden that we found when we were little.
Ellie opened the hidden gate and then we walked in and sat down on a log. “Wanna go swimming,” she said. “Sure, race you there!” We reached the pond and went into it and started splashing each other.
I was laughing and then saw a withering flower out of the corner of my eye. I suddenly got reminded of the war between us and the dark fairies. I was trying to get the fact that the war will never end and that there's a chance of us losing our minds.
I think Ellie noticed this because she said “Why the long face, are you okay.” She looked worried so I decided to tell her, “ I was just worried about the war, about the dark fairies, and if it will end. Or maybe we will lose and things change.”
“It's okay, we will win this war. And even if we do lose we will still have each other to depend on. Friends till the end, am I right.” I then cried a little bit because I was so grateful to have her as a friend.
She gave me a warm hug that helped. “Hey, you should get back to the castle, it is getting late okay.” We then got up and flew back to the castle.
Once we got to my room, she said goodbye and left.
I lay down on my bed and once my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

I woke up to someone opening up the window and light was streaming in. I groaned and then woke up. I saw that it was my caretaker Glory, she was like taking care of me when my parents couldn’t.
“Hey wake up, your parents want to talk to you about something important.” I suddenly remembered that I skipped school, and wondered if that was what it was about.
I was so nervous that I didn’t want to get up, but in the end, I did. I hurried and got dressed in a white flowy dress that was comfortable. I rushed back out halfway and into my parent's office/study room.
Once I got there I took a deep breath and then opened the door.
Inside my parents had a serious face, and that was when I knew it was something important. “Hello dear,” my mother said in a welcoming but serious voice.
”Hello, why are you guys so serious. Is it about skipping school, if it is I'm sorry?”
Oops, I didn't mean to let that slip. My father had a confused face while saying, “What no! You skipped school? Anyways, we called you here to discuss a mission that will help get information on the dark fairies. It is your choice though.”
I was pretty curious about what the mission was, and how serious it was to make my parents like this.”Okay, what is the idea that has made you all serious? Come on, it can't be that bad?” I replied. I looked back at my mom and dad twice and they seemed really nervous.
“Well, you see, the mission is that you have to trick the dark fairy prince that you love him and then gather some information,” he uttered in a nervous voice.”What! What kind of mission is that! Why would you even suggest that!” I shouted in disbelief.
My mind was racing, I mean how do they expect me to do something like that! I mean it would help my kingdom, and maybe ease my worries.
I'm just worried that I will end up catching feelings in the midst of everything.
“Well, I'm sorry, I know it is a crazy mission. But, it would help aot and we will support you in the decision you make no matter what you chose,” my mom stated in a reassuring voice.
I finalized my decision.
“Okay, I'll do it and I will start whenever you want me to.” I would do this mission with determination. I will do anything to help my kingdom, I mean, I am their princess after all?
