Chapter 95

All of us got ready and packed our bags for our trip. Before I left I took one last glance at Gabreelle, “I’m doing this for you.” I said and kissed her forehead and went out of the room.

“Where are you going?” Jude asked following me.

“Doing something to help Gabreelle.” I said.

“Reed.” Elder Lynus called out.

I looked over my shoulder, “Yes?” I asked politely.

“Where are you going?” He asks.

“I’m going to find help.” I said.

“Where? You got nowhere else to go.” Elder Jackson said.

“There has to be a way. There’s always a way.” I insisted.

“There’s nothing we can do… we just have to hopw for the best.” Elder Jonathan said.

“I will not stay here and do nothing!” I shouted in anger and that made all of them shut up.

If they give up on Gabreelle, I’m not going to. I’m not about to just sleep beside her and watch her slowly dying.

“Let’s go.” I said to Sean and Martin.

We went directly to the private jet and went to Paris.

Austin I’m going to need your help.

Of course, anything for Bree. Austin replied.

I cannot wrap my head around that Exigency book that Kade saw. I thought that Bree’s babbling while she was asleep was nonsense- who thought that it would come in handy?

But if there is an exigency book why does it have only one page? And why does it only say one thing?

How can There’s no such thing as darkness help us?

I scratched my head in annoyance.

“Babe.” Sandy said.

I looked at my beautiful mate, “Yes?”

“I can’t see anything.” She said frowning.

I held up my middle finger and put it near her face and waved it; her eyes followed my finger and then she slapped my hand. “You idiot! I meant my visions.”

I smiled at her sheepishly, “Sorry.”

I wanted to help… I really wanted to. It has been three centuries since it was prophecied that there would be Darkness, all of us shrugged that prophecy.

We were all young and really foolish- being handed a role as an Elder at an early age was hard.

If we took action back then, then we would have known how to defeat it.

I jogged downstairs to the basement where the cells where- I scanned through the dim lights where I could find an answer.

I looked over to where Macy was sitting on the floor, she looked old- too old.

“Whatever you’re going to ask… I don’t have the answer to.” She said.

“Macy, you don’t understand.” I countered.

“I do understand. It’s just it doesn’t matter to me anyway since in a few days or less I’ll be gone.” She said.

I groaned in frustration. This is going to be a long night.

“Hey there.” A girl’s voice said.

I turned around and saw a girl dressed in a tight green dress, she smelled normal to me.

Austin what do you think?

She seems normal but there is only one way to find out.

I squeezed my pocket involuntarily and felt that there was a small packet there-

Austin, now is not the time to try out illegal drugs.

My wolf mentally rolled his eyes at me, For a handsome guy you clearly lack something in the brain department.

“You’re new here.” She said. It wasn’t a question, it was a statement.

You should use that packet if that girl is a bad fairy.

“Yes.” I said. “You regularly go here?”

She smiled,”Is it obvious?” She said flirtatiously.

Flirt back. Austin said.

“If I knew that there would be girls that are as beautiful as you here then I would’ve come sooner.” I said smirking down at her.

She blushed and her blue eyes twinkled. “Maybe we could take this conversation to a private place.” She said.

Austin! I am not sleeping with this woman!

You won’t.

She guided me through the backdoor holding my hand- I feel guilty as if I was cheating on Gabreelle.

You’re doing this for her. I chanted inside my head.

She opened a portal- I mindlinked Sean and Martin to go through the backdoor and wait for me.

Now, we got an answer. Austin said.
The portal closed and I try not to observe the surroundings but I let my eyes wander a bit without turning my head.

I’m now in the fairy world.

Contrary to popular belief not all fairies have wings. Now that I’m in the fairy world I can see that and other conclusions that have now entered my mind which were:

They don’t live in trees. They have houses here and they’re smaller than regular houses.

They are not as small as an insect. They’re human-sized- I can see all fairies of different height as we passed by them.

They are all incredibly good-looking. I don’t know what it is with Fairies but they are all good looking.

We entered a house, the fairy locked the door. She turned to me and took her shirt off-

Austin what the fuck do I do?!

Relax, man. You only need timing.

She had her bare chest in front of me… she walked towards me-

“I need your help.” I said.

She looked at me confused. She took a few steps back and wore her top-

“I’m not here to hurt you.” I said holding my hands up.

“What are you and what do you want?” She asked.

“I am a werewolf and I need your help.” I said.

“Don’t go near me or I’ll call the queen!” She shrieked.

“I’m not here to hurt you or anything. I just need your help in finding out the future-.”

She hissed,” I am not a fortune teller! Get out!”

She opened a portal and was pointing to it.

“Darkness had entered the body of the love of my life- I need your help please!”

She looked at me- interested.

“What happened?” She asks.

“Darkness entered the body of my love- Gabreelle. I want to know what will happen and how to prevent Darkness from winning.”

“I cannot help determine how to prevent Darkness… All I can do is to look into the future.” She says.

“Then please do, because the whole earth is on the line- including the worlds of creatures like us.”

She nod her head and I breathed out a sigh of relief.

“Take out that packet ib the back of your pocket.” She says.

What the-

I pulled the packet again from the back of my pocket. I looked at it closely and opened it; I smelled it and it smelled familiar… I dipped a finger and licked it- Salt.

Fairies are uncomfortable with salt. Austin said.

Really? I thought witches were the only creatures who’s not really comfortable with salt?

Witches don’t like salt because it has purifying properties…they’re devil incarnates- well, Macy at least. Austin said.

I could not agree more.

“Throw it away.” Said the fairy.

I threw it to the portal. She closed it and opened another one-

“Who is the love of your life? And how does it affect the fairy world?” She asks.

“The love of my life is the Moon Goddess’ favored daughter.”
