The Conquest of Kiynan

Action / Fantasy

An uneasy peace reigns over the myriad peoples of Kiynan. A naive, young King rules uneasily while nobles hunt, courtiers enjoy their entertainment and thieves conduct their illicit business. But in the frigid land of Varice, a bloodthirsty warlord has risen to power, forcing the Iceborn peoples beneath his heel. His lust for conquest still burns hotly and his gaze now turns toward Kiynan. Elsewhere, in the magical, war-torn land of Ornland, demon spirits draped in stolen flesh emerge from the mysterious fallen realm of Lethe, threatening to overrun the continent, or even the world. Perhaps the only hope standing between the world and its doom is a young woman and the forgotten magic of an ancient, fallen House. She must overcome her fears and personal losses to unite or destroy the fragmented armies of the magicians of Ornland, the savage barbarians of Varice and the noble warriors of Kiynan.

Robert D. Stanley: I really liked this story. The main character was very well fleshed out (so much so that I sometimes felt sorry for her friends with how little trust she had in them) and your descriptive writing was very good. There are, however a few points I'd like to critique.1. The dual PoVs were interesting...

William Elliott Kern: Interesting Story, with Jacob, the second Son of Baron Ironwood to learn his duties, provide his numbers and prepare for marriage to Anna......Along the way, the wise Monk, Francis came to Ironwood, filled the ears of Jacob with hope and positive direction, a gift for Jacob well needed. The Stor...

KerryMI: One would think the idea of vampire loving man has been over flogged, yet this story's fresh perspective on Vampires, how they live and how they connect with humans is so effortlessly narrated that it almost becomes truth. Your writing was fast enough to keep me greedily turning each page but slo...

larry: I’ m not a professional book reviewer, but this is a good one! I liked it enough to read it non stop!

Nanasha: I thought I'd written a comment on this story, but for some reason, I guess it didn't go through. Anyway, so this story is intensely addictive. I liked how the author uses established mythology but then gives it a unique twist. The idea of goblins all coming from the head of the king is an ama...

Deleted User: I love your use of writer's craft and how you use figurative language to enhance your writing. It great how you didn't have any spelling or grammar issues.

Laraine Smith: This should be a movie! You are talented! It is that good! Keep it up! It is visual! It grabbed me! Don't give up!

aaron10905: This is undoubtedly one of the best books written on here. I actually unistalled this app until someone told me about this story. I came back not expecting much, just to be drawn into the story and the characters. I would buy this book in real life, as long as another was promised shortly after.

JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real. The fight sequences are a treat especially when Isanfyre is training to become a warrior. I found the names really cool and thankfully easy to pronounce. Personally I have always struggled w...
