Chapter 9- Aura
There was a gray haze in the sky and it wasn’t just the clouds that were sad. Although they were strewn across the midnight like a child had gotten a hold of a paint brush and carelessly went on swishing the paper, without any regard to order and meaning, the ground seemed to feel the gloom too. An absence of animals rustling the leaves left an unnerving shiver in the air. This neighborhood usually had all manner of critters scurrying under the trees and around the hedges.
Except in front of the house. But I didn’t know any of this.
