I Know What You Did Last Summer

“We live our perfect lives on Facebook and Instagram”, that’s what he said. He also said that it would end with him. He was wrong. It all started on his first day of year 11. He was so happy being back. His sophisticated outfit, with a long blue tie and a white shirt buttoned all the way to the top and his new backpack on and hair straightened down. He was ready, well that’s what he thought. As Billy walked through the towering and daunting gates, He saw his friend, her name was Lara. She was always looking flawless, with her mini pencil skirt, Gucci nails and electrifying maroon lipstick. Lara’s rosy blonde hair waved down to her shoulders.

“Well hey stranger” Lara said with a hint of excitement.

“Hey there basic-“ Just before Billy was going to finish, Miss Gal yelled.

“Are you not meant to be in my class? Because I would hurry if I was you!” Miss Gal was always in a destructive mind-set. She was hiding something. But what? Lara looked dead straight at her and walked away. Billy shrunk and went along with her. As they strolled threw the dim lit, prolonged hallway. Billy stopped and turned to Lara.

“Have you heard from Dan?” asked Billy with a unconfutable tone.

“Listen, I know you and him ended with a.... heated discussion, he is my friend too B and I don’t want to be caught up in World War 3” Lara discussed.

“I’m just worried, he hasn’t answered my texts or calls, and-“

“B chill, he is probably just trying to avoid Miss Gal’s fury, now can we get to class so she doesn’t kill us?”

“Fine” Billy shrugged and kept on walking.

Dan was the type of person who you could rely on for comfort, that’s why Billy and Dan was a good couple , every time they kissed the clock went backwards and all the stress just went away, Until it happened. One day Billy went to Dan’s house to help him with work, as soon as he got to the door Dan was half naked with a blonde girl in his bed. Billy’s jaw hit the ground hard. Then he just broke down and cried. They tried to get pass it but the image of him with that girl was burnt into his head.

Dan was still at home, trying to find the courage to get dressed and meet the love of his life, and hoping that he could make it right. He got up and made it to the bathroom. The refection in the mirror wasn’t him, he was never scared or nervous in fact he had an ego like it was the heat galloping away from the sun. But today had him shook. He jelled his jet black hair back and unplugged his phone from the charger. DING. A text came threw:

“I WONDER IF BILLY KNOWS THAT YOU SLEPTED WITH HIS VAMPED FRIEND LARA” Dan’s faced turned blue. His hands turned to stone. Who was this? How does this person know? Dan replied with:

“Who is this, this isn’t funny”

Moments later a sharp ding hit his phone, it read:

“IM DEAD SERIOUS, JUST LIKE YOULL BE IN 60 SECONDS” Dan quickly put his shirt and tie on and made it for the front door. It was locked. He ran to the back door. Locked. As Dan turned around, there was a masked figure in the hall. This figure had a red mask on with a smile carved in to it. A smile that looked liked a child on his first birthday. The figure also had a black polyester coat that drooped down to his leather black hiking boots. A slender arm appear with a hand that grasped the key to the house. Fight or flight hit Dan’s body. He ran into the basement. Survive, survive, survive. He chanted that into his head. He look around the dusty, cobwebbed infested basement for a weapon, but it was dark and the cold pierced his skin. DING. His phone lit up. In the semi lit basement he made out the figure in front of him, before he could react a cold blade made contact with his warm neck. Dan fell. Fell Hard.
