Untitled Chapter

Hello kiddies,

You miss me?

What!!

 You don’t remember me?

I know,

It has been a while.

But today is your lucky day!

I've come to collect,

What is mine!

Let’s just say

I forgot.

What?

You still don’t remember?

My… my

What a foolish child you are.

Remember

How scared you were?

You’d shut off the light

And leap into bed.

And

How petrified

 You were,

Staring at your closet.

You remember now?

You do,

Don’t you?

Yes,

You remember me.

I can feel,

Your heart racing.

Those images

They’re flooding back.

A tiny voice whispers,

Behind you.

But don’t look now,

I’m behind you.

Yes,

Be afraid…

I fuel on your fear.

You feel me around you,

Don’t you?

In the shadows,

I am hidden.

But not for long,

I’m here

To collect.

Remember

When you were little,

You heard

The door creak open.

And you saw my long black fingers,

Slink around the door.

Oh yes,

I feel your fear.

Remember how

You covered your head in terror.

And you heard my raspy breathing,

Coming,

Closer.

And yet,

I was already,

Under your bed.

Those tingles you feel right now,

And how,

Your hair stands on end?

It’s my long fingers,

Sliding around your neck.

Yes

Your heart is drumming,

I like it,

You’re scared now

Aren't you?

It is me.

The one you fear most,

I love how your

Body shivers.

You do remember me,

Don’t you?

Now you can’t

Go to sleep.

How could you?

When you hear

That tiny voice whisper,

I am

The Boogieman!

I’ve come to collect

Your

body and soul.

Elizabeth Robbins: 4.5 starsAs far as apocalypse stories go, this one took a new direction. I'm glad someone finally addressed the need for a vampire apocalypse! This is sort of a multi-genre festival of delights. With hints of forced societies, vamps, hunters, romance, apocalypse, government conspiracy, and thrill...

Shayleen Seiberg: See, I wasn't sure if I'd like this story. But it turned out extremely well. It kept me interested the whole entire time. The only thing wrong with it is there are multiple grammatical errors. Not punctuation wise, but spelling wise and word placement wise. But overall, I loved the book.

Charlie_8472: Recommended to me by a friend, I thought I'd give this a read. As a hobbyist blacksmith, the blurb certainly caught my attention. I found the sentence about them drinking, dancing and fighting a strange combination of activities, perhaps a reflection of the writer’s personality and humour. Howeve...

Schaelz: I was intrigued from the second I started reading, and it kept my interest the whole way through. Chelsea has a way with words that will enchant you until the very end. She is very poetic with the way she mixes genres and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The main character is also very relat...

JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real. The fight sequences are a treat especially when Isanfyre is training to become a warrior. I found the names really cool and thankfully easy to pronounce. Personally I have always struggled w...

Yellow: If you are looking for something original try Evening Goddess. Karina takes you on an adventure filled with tragedy and dangerous situations. The mixture of a serious plot and sexual situations keep you reading to discover what challenges she will face next. The novel will make you laugh, cry...

catd69: Karim is a very talented writer. When I started reading his journey it took me into the book and I was in the story till the end. I've never felt this way with any other writers stories. If you want to read a gripping adventure, this will be the one book I would suggest you pick.

ga1984: I really enjoyed it! Characters were deep and plot was pretty complex. A bit on the violent side but it doesnt detract from the story. Very dark but situations make sense. Ends kinda abruptly and later chapters will need some editing work. I'm assuming there's more in the works?

Olivia N J Hamel: I want this book. I love it so much. It is so enjoyable to read and to have a copy of this always, I would be very happy, to always be able to come back and look at it again.

Hudson: Your story was fantastic Erin! The Rising Sun was one of the first stories I read on Inkitt, and I have to say I don't regret the three to four days I spent pouring through the story.Probably the biggest strength I see in your writing is your characterisation of Eliana, Oriens, and the rest of th...

Talon Richey: The answer to that question is NO! I absolutely loved the book, it has a way of lifting the magic right of the page and into the imagination. The story is well thought out and connects so easily with its self that as a reader i felt like it could actually be real. defiantly in my top five favori...
