Fear is a Funny Word
When I was seven years old I was the bravest child anyone had ever seen. I would face bullies, play Bloody Mary, and I even watched horror movies without flinching which when you were seven made you legendary. I was only scared of one thing my grandfather he was a retired Air Force Sargent which meant he was very stern. I figured it was just him being old or have flashbacks when he would angry at the most. He was boarder-line insane, no words to explain it any other way. Some days he would rock back and forth saying. "Fear is a funny word." Repetitively he would then laugh almost maniacally. This petrified me I didn't understand what he meant by this but, now I wish I didn't. I just remember hearing blood-curdling screams coming from the basement. At that time I knew it only to come the rug. I was scared
