Chapter 4
Summer – do you want something Blake?
Blake – No I’m good. (Who the hell is that in the picture with her, shit maybe she does have a boyfriend after all)
Summer – you do realise there are plenty of other empty seats yeah?
Blake – yeah but I’m ok with sitting here
Summer groans and gives off a big sigh.
Blake – what’s got you so upset?
Summer – why would you think I’m upset, you don’t know the first thing about me?
Blake – well you’re sitting there with a puss on your face looking like you want to hurt someone so I’m guessing something is up.
Summer – look we don’t need to do this, we aren’t friends, we don’t know anything about each other so I’ll worry about my crap and you can worry about yours ok?
Blake – jeez I was only trying to be nice
Summer – well it doesn’t suit you.
Blake – You call me arrogant and self-centred but you don’t know the first thing about me. It seems to me that you like to judge a book by it’s cover. Pretty rude if you ask me.
Summer – Excuse me?
Blake – calling it as I see it. You don’t know a thing about me, only what you see in college yet you think you have the right to judge me based on those facts. Maybe you should take a good look at yourself.
Oh my god, did I just get schooled by Blake? He is right, I don’t know the first thing about him, besides the fact that he likes to sleep around. Was I too quick to judge him or is this all part of his plan for whatever he is up too. God I wish Adi (Greg) was here so I could talk to him
Summer – do you know what, you are right, I have judged you without knowing you so I apologise.
Blake – wait, what?
Summer – Yeah I apologise, If I am in the wrong I will apologise, I don’t have any problem with that.
Blake – um ok, I wasn’t expecting that, well thanks
Summer – no problem.
Blake – ok so this is awkward ha ha
Summer – yeah ha ha
Blake – no longer enemies?
Summer – can we leave that up for debate until I get to know you better?
Blake – god you are stubborn, fine I’ll setting for Frenemies for now, deal?
Summer – Deal.
Blake – so do we shake on it or what?
Summer – Nah, I think a verbal agreement is good enough
Blake – ha ha if you say so.
The teacher comes in and begins the class, it isn’t that awkward sitting with Blake now that we have cleared up a few things. As class is coming to an end I start to clear up my books and head for the door, Blake catches up with me and walks beside me.
Blake – So are we gonna do the whole growl at each other when we walk past each other or can I say hi to you now without you attacking me?
Summer – I think the odd smile and wave will be ok
Blake – agreed, good day mi-lady (he bows and walks away backwards facing me)
Summer – you’re still a weirdo but ok – good day kind sir
Ruth – What the Fcuk..
Kat – Was that???
Summer – what?
Kat – don’t you what us? What just happened with you and Blake?
Summer – oh that, he came up to me before class and called me out on my shit. I filled them in on everything that happened and they just stood there looking at me.
Ruth – he is definitely your admirer
Kat – without question
Summer – guys stop. He isn’t, it’s just a co-incidence. I’m probably the first girl to talk back to him and he doesn’t know how to handle it.
Kat – I dunno, let’s just watch this space.
