Chapter 10

Sky's P.O.V

For the past couple of days, I've been helping Lacey with how to not get nervous around Finn or say something awkward. Oh, and I've been watching out for myself because you can never know when the boys can prank me.

"Sky!" Maya called and I got out of my room to see her looking super-happy.

"Why do you look like you just won the jackpot?" I raised a brow.

"It's movie night," she sang and I raised both of my brows. "It happens once in a while when we put aside all of our differences and watches anything for a whole Saturday night."

"Oh, ok."

"Come on," she pulled my hand and dragged me downstairs.

There were bowls of popcorn and all kind of snacks and a lot of blankets and pillows. I looked to see everyone except Hudson, sprawled across the couches.

"I'll go call Hudson," Maya sighed and was about to go upstairs.

"Don't worry, I'll do it," I said and went upstairs.

I knocked on the door to Hudson's door. It opened to reveal Hudson. Shirtless.

My eyes immediately went down to take a look. Jesus Christ! Was he built!

He has an 8-pack and I could clearly see the start of his v-line but (unfortunately) I was interrupted from gawking at him by hearing the sound of a throat clearing.

I looked up to see Hudson smirking down at me. My cheeks immediately turned crimson and here comes the word-vomit.

"Um... Uh... It's, uh... It's movie night. Come downstairs," I quickly said before speed-walking. I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see him still smirking at me. "Oh, and, um, wear a shirt."

With that, I walked downstairs and sat down in the only couch left.

"Are you ok, Sky? You look a little flushed," Lacey said as she looked at me in worry.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm perfectly fine," I replied a little too quickly.

"Are you sure? What happened to your cheeks? I just saw you 5 minutes ago, before you went to get Hudson," Serene smirked. I think she might be thinking something.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just..." Oh, come on, think of something! "I just slapped myself."

"Why would you do that?" Veronica raised a brow.

"I was being stupid," I shrugged.

"O...K," she replied, confused.

"So, what movie is it?" I changed the subject.

"Spiderman: Far from Home," Jeremy said as he turned on Netflix on the TV.

"Wait, it's on Netflix?" I asked in confusion.

"Yeah," he replied before sitting down on the couch next to Finn.

I took a blanket and covered myself with it as they turned off the lights. Hudson came downstairs and sat down next to me because everywhere else was occupied.

"What movie?" Hudson asked.

"Spiderman: Far from Home," Hugh replied causing him to roll his eyes.

"Hey, we put aside our differences for one Saturday night and have a movie marathon," I practically sang.

"Someone's getting the hang of things," Jeremy commented.

"Well, thank you," I said.

The movies started after we had like 5 more minutes of chitchat.

I moved to the end of the couch, turned a little bit and put my legs on Hudson's lap. His eyes snapped to my legs and then to me. I gave him the puppy-dog eyes but he just rolled his eyes and leaned back on the couch.

His hands came to rest on my ankle and rubbed smooth circles on my skin with his thumbs.

Our first movie finished and Maya started playing Agents of Shield.

"Maya, did you, by any chance, chose this because the main character's name is 'Sky'?" I chucked.

"Maybe," she mumbled causing all of us to chuckle but except for Hudson.

Somehow, I ended up with my head on his lap and his hands running through my hair.

Currently, we were on season 2 of Agents of Shield. Maya, Serene, Finn, Hugh and Lacey fell asleep.

It was just me, Hudson, Jeremy and Veronica who were awake.

This time, Hudson ended up with his head on my lap and my hands tangled in his smooth hair. Those strands of hairs were still covering his cheek and as much as I just wanted to pull them back and see what's underneath, I didn't because he hides it for a reason. Like how I put up a wall between me and my emotions.

This time, I ended up with my head on Hudson's chest, his arms wrapped around my waist and my arms wrapped around him. It was... comfortable. I have a million ways to describe it but I'm sure that I don't want to face anything other than 'comfortable'.

"Are we gonna watch it all the way to season 7?" I mumbled to Hudson's chest.

"That depends," he muttered.

"On what?" I looked up.

"On whether we stay awake or not," he whispered into my ear.

"Let's see what happens," I huffed and snuggled into his chest. I felt so warm and safe in his arms. Like I didn't ever want to leave...

I woke up to my head rested on something hard. I lifted my head to see that I was sleeping with my head on a sleeping Hudson. Everyone else was either up or walking about.

"Good morning, Sky," Maya said.

"Morning," I yawned.

"I hope you slept well," Serene chimed in.

"How could she not when she was sleeping on lover boy?" Jeremy added with a smirk.

"Shut up," I growled. "It was nothing like that." They gave me a look that said 'Hey, whatever, man!'

I tapped Hudson a few times and he opened his eyes.

"Rise and shine," I said and got up.

"Were we the last ones to get up?" he asked.

"Yup," I said, popping the 'p'.

"Explains. We were the ones who stayed awake the most," he yawned.

"Mhm," I replied and yawned again. "Let's go freshen up."

I let out a high-pitched scream and ran downstairs.

"What's wrong?" Veronica asked.

"Ok, so I freshened up and then I went to the closet to get a new pair of clothes and I saw 4 giant tarantulas," I said really quickly.

The sound of the boys' laughter rang in my ears. Wait, the tarantulas weren't moving. Urgh! I fell into their stupid trap.

They scared me to death. Oh, I feel like I wanna whine right now but no. I will get them back and they will pay for this.

"Who's idea was is?" I asked as I barely controlled the anger in my voice.

"Mine," Jeremy replied.

"Run," I muttered.

"What?" he asked as he stopped laughing.

"I said, run. Unless you would like to die right now," I shrugged. Something seemed to click in his mind because he spun on his heels and ran out of the house.

I ran after him and screamed like there was no tomorrow. I need to kill that son of a bitch. Don't worry, I'm just exaggerating... I think.

Unsurprisingly, Jeremy was a really really fast runner. Wanna know what I did? No? I'm just gonna say it anyways. I stopped running halfway but he was still running so I just walked back home.

Now, I'm sitting in the living room and it's 7pm. I'm reading Romeo and Juliet and Hudson is opposite to me, reading Pride and Prejudice this time. I never thought that he would read something like that.

Every now and then Hudson would look up from his book, to me and look like he had something to say to me but then he would decide against it and continue.

"So, did you kill Jeremy and dispose his body?" Hudson asked suddenly.

"Not yet," I snorted.

"Where the fuck is he then?" he asked calmly.

"I don't know. Probably all the way in Antarctica," I replied and I saw his lips twitch a little and then they went back to the straight line.

What the hell does it take to make this guy laugh?

"Do you two do anything other than read all day long?" Veronica huffed.

"Well, we talk and argue sometimes. Good enough?" I smirked.

"No. We are going to go to a party," she replied.

"Wait, British people knows how to have fun?" I mock-gasped.

"We're gonna go next Friday. My cousin is throwing a party," she rolled her eyes.

"Sure," I shrugged.

Jeremy came home about 5 minutes later and then ran upstairs as soon as he saw me, but, I still continued reading and Hudson was still there.

"Would you be mad if I said that it was partially my idea too?" Hudson suddenly blurted out.

"I will be but it's not like I can chase after you, is it?" I muttered.

"And why not?" he raised a brow.

"1) I don't think you're the kind of guy who would be scared of a tiny 17-year-old. 2) I don't chase after guys." ...that I want.

"But you just literally did that."

"I never said I wanted him," I replied with a smirk before swiftly making my exit, leaving a smirking Hudson in the living room...
