Chapter 31

Sky's P.O.V

"So," Lacey started as she took the popcorn from the microwave. "What happened during your trip?"

My legs suddenly stopped swinging as I sat on the counter and my whole body tensed at her question.

Should I tell her the things?

No, leave them out...

Why not?

You don't want any fuss... do you?

Then keep that stupid mouth of yours shut.

Fine, Miss Bossy-pants.

I am part of you, you idiot...

Oh. Never mind.

"Um... we ate a lot of different foods, the views were amazing and the whole thing was just AMAZING," I smiled.

"Obviously, dummy, you went to fucking ITALY. I meant, did something happen between you and Hudson during the trip?" she wiggled her brows up and down causing me to chuckle.

It's still a no.

"Nothing happened," I chuckled convincingly.

"Hmm..." she smirked.

"Come on, you two! It's gonna start in literally 15 minutes!" Hugh urged us from the living room.

"Jeez, it's just a football match," I muttered.

"WHAT?" they both practically screamed at the same time.

"ENGLAND has gotten into the damn UEFA!" Lacey exclaimed.

"Not that we think our team can't do that or anything," Hugh added quickly.

"Yeah," my cousin agreed.

"Chill, people! I adore football too," I rolled my eyes and walked out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn.

There was a big flag on the wall right opposite to the TV and in front of it (where the couches are) there were countless amounts of various snacks and a lot of blankets and a kingdom of pillows.

Lacey set the bowl of popcorn down on the coffee table (which I'm not sure how it's capable of holding all those snacks) in front of the TV and casually sat next to Finn. Yeah, no shit, Sherlock.

Finn somehow gave her a smile. Now that I think of it, I have never seen him smile genuinely at a person. Something's a little sus here.

ANNNYWAYS, I sat next to a Hudson who was also glancing at the pair.

"He's smiling when he's talking to her..." I trailed off.

"Mhm," Hudson mumbled.

"And she's smiling widely too."

"They look so cute together..."

"Yeah- Was I really just about to call an almost-couple cute?" Hudson face-palmed causing me to giggle.

"Seriously though, I've never seen him smile at a PERSON," I gushed.

"Me neither."

"I didn't even think he would be able to change that scowl to a smile."

"Ever since we came back, he smiles at her. Only her for some reason."

"I've gotta say it, she's got him wrapped around her pinky."

Hudson turned his head to me and gave me a knowing look causing me to burst into a small fit of laughter.

When I was finished, I looked again at Hudson to see him looking down and shaking his head but I didn't fail to notice the small smile lighting up his face.

"Admit it, I do," I smirked.

"Whatever, Princess," he rolled his eyes like it was nothing.

"You see, in my book, that's considered as a 'yes'."

"Like I said, whatever," he shook his head.

"You guys ready? They're coming," Jeremy said and switched off the lights.

"Wait, who are they playing against again?" I asked because, well, I'm stupid in some fucking ways.

A chorus of groans could be heard from my friends and they all gave me the 'Are you fucking kidding me?' looks.

Hudson on the other hand, was face-palming but was trying to stop himself from laughing his ass off.

"Sky, Sky, Sky... What am I gonna do with you?" he shook his head. "It's ITALY."

England: British people.

Italy: One Italian.

Me: Adores drama.

This will be pretty interesting.

"OH," I realised. "Are you supporting them?"

"No." Now I understand why there wasn't any drama.

"I was looking forward for some drama BUT are you being a traitor and supporting ENGLAND?" I raised a brow.

"This has GOT to be interesting then," I leaned back.

"England's gonna be kicking some ass," Hugh smirked.

"Yeah they are," Veronica agreed.

"I wouldn't say that if I were you," I said and all their heads snapped to me. "What? Italy's one of the most successful national teams. They've won a LOT of matches. Four World Cup wins, two European Championship wins, two Central European International Cup wins, heck, they were the first team to defend its World Cup title."

"Don't forget the Olympic Football tournament win between the first two World Cup wins," Hudson added.

"Yeah. Ya'll are just supporting England because you're part of it and I'm being WAY TOO blunt here, aren't I?" I asked and they nodded still with their jaws dropped. I turned to Hudson who was smirking. "I've been spending WAY too much time with you."

He shook his head but still grinned.

"Are you gonna support them?" Hudson asked and the others watched us in anticipation.

"Not completely... BUT if they win, I will be happy."

"That's fair... I think," Serene commented.

"Oooh, look, the teams are out," I said and their attention snapped towards the TV.

Hudson leaned to my side and whispered, "How did you know all of that?"

"Oh, I know a lot more than that," I whispered back.

"Cool. Are you a fan?"

"I was."

"Why not now?"

"I quit the school girls soccer team a couple of years ago and oh, my god, I've been calling it 'football' all this time, haven't I?" I sighed.

"You're getting British. Which were your strong positions?"

"I was mostly the central defender or the midfielder."

"Strategic. You run pretty damn fast and it'll be easier for you to dribble the ball and slip between people to pass."

"Do you play?" I raised a brow.

"Used to."

"Huh, I thought you only liked basketball."

"Eh, they're all alright," he shrugged.

"Which were your strong positions?"

"I was the central attacker or the midfielder."

"Nice. You're physically really fit to be able to sweep the ball from your opponent."

"Hmm..." he smiled/hummed at my opinion.

Italy started singing their national anthem and I gave Hudson a look to see if he was gonna do anything.

He knew exactly what I was thinking.

"Over my dead body," he scoffed causing me to giggle and the rest of our friends to look at us weirdly but we both just brushed it off.

Like I said, this is gonna be interesting...
