What? exam? Uhoh?
“Exam? Oops. Forgot to take leave” I said with widened eyes. Unfortunately, I was a little louder that everyone heard it. I suddenly covered my mouth with my hand.
“Henzel! What?” She asked.
“Hm… go and sit.” She said giving me an answer paper and a question paper.
I hold the paper and stood there not knowing what to do.
Just then Abel stood up in his place, “Ma’am, additional sheet.”
I stood there helpless.
“Why are you standing here like a fool? Go sit and right.” The teacher said.
I walked over to Abel and sat next to him. I gazed all around the class not knowing what to do.
“Henzel! Start the exam.” The teacher said.
I was so shocked. I had studied nothing for the exam.
“Ma’am, Aren’t latecomers eliminated from the examination?” I asked in order to avoid attending the exam.
“It’s okay, you may write the exam.” The teacher said.
I was certain I would flunk the exam because I had done nothing to prepare.
I chose to look at Abel’s paper and write since I couldn’t think of any other way to pass the exam.
“Abel, Abel!” I called him making sure that the teacher can’t hear.
But she heard it. “Henzel, write what you know, not what Abel knows. And you know what, I hate copycats.”
“Ma’am, am I disqualified?” I asked.
“What? For what reason?”
“Ma’am, I cheated in the exam and you caught it. So it means I’m disqualified. Right?” I asked.
“Henzel, no matter how hard you try, I will make you write the exam. That’s for sure.” said the teacher.
“Sorry ma’am, It was my sister’s wedding yesterday.”
“Then you must have taken leave.”
“I forgot,” He said.
“I forgot to take leave,”
The teacher looked at him confused. “Okay, your time starts now”
I was trapped in every way.
I don’t know what to write. At last, I wrote whatever I know from every single subject. I took almost seven sheets of paper and was done with the exam on time.
