Nicole McNamara is celebrating her seventeenth birthday with her brother Nate and her best friend Kassie Lang . Nate hears gunfire. He returns to his house only to find his parents dead.

Nate, Nicole's younger brother, shook his head. Nicole was always teasing older men about liking them. At the age of seventeen, Kassie had never had an actual boyfriend.
The man, who was about forty years old, had ridden by their house. Nate had seen him before, but didn't know him.

Garza: This is an amazing story and well written I have been through a lot of trauma myself so don't normally read when it's made up drama but this is done so well and I appreciate that she doesn't just quickly heal move on with things cuz that's not how it really happens. You have done such a good job ...
Syuha Rosly: It is a very interesting crime solving, mytery story. I like how it was injected with a bit of romance in between. Although, it was a bit jumpy on the scene transition, and a bit confusing on which point of view we are currently reading. Overall the plot was good and I enjoy reading it.
