It had been two weeks since I got back from Hell and ten days since I woke up.
Astra was adjusting well, I could see the light start to seep back into her eyes and face.
Art was happy I was at least taking a break from hunting, he didn’t have to worry constantly about me coming home or waiting for my call to know I was safe.
I was happy, to say the least, but it couldn’t last long, somebody would call, the monsters of the world were out there causing mischief regardless of whether or not we wanted to hunt them.
Art had gone shopping with Astra to buy her some toys and necessities. Astra seemed to tap into her inner-child on the trip and when she came back she wanted to show me her new accessories. She walked down the hall like it was her own personal red carpet. It felt like I had a daughter and in a way, I guess I did.
