"Who lives in 3666?" I asked. "Why?" he questions. "People are usually superstitious about things like 666," I comment not wanting to worry him. John notices a female spirit across the street from Art's house. Who is she? And why is she haunting the house across the street? Who really lives in the house and what are they hiding? Reports of bodies being stolen from the graveyards have been on the news, do they have something to do with this spirit or is that because this is Salem, Massachusetts? Art will try to stop John from giving the ghost peace but John will reason he's trying to protect Astra and Day. What lengths will John go to find out the truth about what is really going on in the house? How will he let others know once he knows the truth?

Chapter 1

I called Rave and Avery the next day to see why they’d come by. They told me Josh had been turned after coming back to kill them a second time.

Lock had taken him to Edward. He wasn’t faring well. Edward had had to chain him to a bed to keep him from trying to go back and kill Rave, Avery and himself.

Josh wasn’t like the Shadowends or me, he wasn’t willing to let monsters that hadn’t killed live. Even when the monster was himself.

I wasn’t sure what to do with him at this point. Eventually, he’d lose control because he wasn’t accepting blood either. Yazu, a vampire, Avery, and Rave had saved was trying to reason but he’d just lash out at her.

I guess I was making a trip back to Marksville to reason with him, that could both end with me either killing him or showing him that he wasn’t a monster.
