Summary

An intense thriller that sees seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Sanchez conquer a modern day cult run by a sadistic, narcissistic Pastor whom will do anything to stop her from uncovering the truth. In the United States of America alone, as of 2016, there are reported to be over 3,500 cults still active with a total of 4 million members. Some cults are political, some are economical, others are religious. And some, are still undocumented to exist. After being abused her whole life by her strict Catholic parents, seventeen-year-old Elizabeth finally pushes them to breaking point because of her behavior and is forced to join an Academy that to the outside world, prides themselves on directing members to the right path of God. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth as the Academy isn't an Academy at all--but a cult, and the members have been brainwashed and abused into perfection. As she fights to be unshackled from the cult's mind-controlling, immoral ways, Elizabeth soon discovers that once you enter Cross Academy, you can never get out without losing who you are. And the mysteries are just beginning.

jogamaspearce: Great story, very well written. Thank you

TManka: I enjoyed this book. I have to finish it but it is good. Maybe the only thing I can say to make it better is that it could use some editing. But most of the editing is small things.

Ffion: Sooo fun! What a thrill

Lizzy: This was a super good novel. It had a few typos but nothing major. It was a really good storyline and definitely was worth the read.

Titel_Blue: The plot remembers me of the classic The Pledge by Friedrich Durrenmatt, except here we have more girls murdered, but it will be difficult to beat the original. Regarding the style, it seems to be a bit too wordy.

justcallmeCaroline, aight?: My eyes are very swollen & got a migraine from crying too much from the first chapter to the epilogue. I rarely read a book that is full of pain, & tears but this book exceeds my expectation. I was captivated by Raina's strength. I was hooked by Roman's love for Rae. And I stan a protective fathe...

Anonymous🎭: Nice book Unique plot

Diana G. Lim: Love everything about this book. How they met, how domineering the male lead (who is also the boss), how brave the female lead is to venture & follow her dream, how the explosive the chemistry that was always around both of them... Thank goodness for some kind of drama to make it a complete book....
