Prologue - The Beginning

Do you ever feel like somebody else.......that is not human......is inside of your body that wants to take over your body and life? You wish you can escape that fate....but you can't. But you realize when you look in the mirror.....but that somebody else is the total and complete opposite of you....a demon.

Here is the meaning of demon: "An evil spirit or devil, especially one thought to possess a person or act as a tormentor in hell."

When you turn into a demon, your body feels like it's being dragged in eternal darkness. You scream and yell, wanting to break free from this eternal darkness. But nobody hears your cries and screams and you plunge into darkness......and never come out. Your soul turns a rich, dark black.

You wake up the next morning, go to the mirror, and realize that you are human once again. But you ask yourself:

"Will I be able to remain a human.......or forever become a demon? Will I be able to change my fate? Or is it too late? Was that a dream......or reality?"

My name is Alicia and this is my story.

Alicia was normal for a 15 year old. She was 5'5 in height, light brown skin, hourglass frame, busty chest who normally wore her black and white hightop Polo shoes, black skinny jeans, a black polo shirt with a black vest. And she was also wearing her hair up along with her black glasses on so that she can see.

She currently stays by herself after her parents died in their large two bedroom apartment. Her mother committed suicide while her father was stabbed in the chest multiple times.

When she's at school, she is quiet and hardworking in all of her classes. But as soon as she gets over, she gets on her computer, surfing the Web on some random stuff until she ended looking up demons. She looked at the screen and said "Nah....I will never ever believe in demons - they don't exist!", closing out of the tab and closing the lid on her laptop.

She cooked herself some Oodles and Noodles for dinner which was chicken flavored. After she ate that, she raided the fridge for some dessert and found vanilla bean cupcakes, a can of Coca-Cola and some Flaming Hot Limon Cheetos. She then took those items to her living room, sat them down on the table, and turned on the TV. The show that came on was her favorite which was Nick Cannon's Wild N' Out. She laughed and ate her dessert.

After the little chilling time she had, she cleaned up, went back into her room, changed into black shorts and a Danganronpa t-shirt with short black socks, and got into bed. She was sleeping peacefully until she was tossing and turning in her sleep. She was having a bad dream.

She then wakes up in her dream and says "Where am I?" before getting up. But suddenly, something from under the ground, hands reaching out and grabbing her legs, pulling the normal Alicia straight into darkness. She was free falling throughout the eternal darkness. "HELP ME PLEASE! Somebody, help please!!" She screamed but nobody was there to hear her crying and screaming.

But then, she woke up in the middle of the night, shaking and crying. "That was a dream...." She said, getting up and going towards the mirror in her room. She looked in the mirror at herself and realized that she was now......a demon.

OpheliaJones: This story took a different kind of spin on the "normal girl lives with definitely not normal guy" plot. The plot points of Frey's father, Liam's family, and Frey's view of Liam's world were good to read. She did not fall in love with him in the first couple weeks. Their lives were not smooth in ...

Hudson: Your story was fantastic Erin! The Rising Sun was one of the first stories I read on Inkitt, and I have to say I don't regret the three to four days I spent pouring through the story.Probably the biggest strength I see in your writing is your characterisation of Eliana, Oriens, and the rest of th...

Lauren Sanby: This is an excellent story. Very gripping and keeps your attention throughout. Hoping the author is writing a sequel because I'd love to read more about Rhi and Andreas and find out what else Rhi is able to do with her powers.

Atractivo Sumit: The story is an amazing blend of what we call natural, plain romance along with subtle emotions and interesting twists. The plot is so beautifully interwoven.

Alex Rushmer: Chapter One: Not much is happening in this chapter, but I was absolutely fascinated by the depth of your character development. I love how you just sat there with the reader and explored Eddward. Usually, that sort of thing gets boring very fast, but this was actually really cool! He's so unique ...

263Adder: Okay so I adore this story. I only knocked one star off plot for historical inaccuracies because I'm a bit of a stickler for that. The ending broke my heart though, considering you already changed history couldn't you (SPOILER) change it a bit more and have them together!!!! I want an alternative...

brettylee: The narrative is slick yet punchy. Life, Family and Friends I believe is the core message so it’s easy to relate to. It’s surprisingly action packed. The author does a good job at keeping you guessing. Just when you think all is right, whack, the unexpected happens. The dialogue is energetic and ...
