All This And Heaven Too
God made the World in just six days,
And took one off to rest.
He blessed it with some solar rays,
To warm the first bird's nest.
God chose to give the world He made
To man, made from the grounds;
With just one rule: Don't eat that fruit
From one tree out of bounds.
The man and woman broke the rules,
And poisoned paradise;
And had to work the land with tools,
Which made life not as nice.
Through centuries, the populations
Would break God's every law,
And then complain of tribulations;
Blaming God, what's more.
God could have left us to our fates,
Cut off from His good will.
Instead, adopting human traits,
He took a bitter pill.
Born in the world as Jesus Christ,
He lived without a flaw;
Then died, with pain, to pay the price
For all past sins and more.
This leaves us with a choice to make;
But we need to respond.
Do we accept God's gift, and take
His ticket to beyond?
God's help on earth, and heaven too
Are all part of the prize
We'll win, if we let God come through,
To open all our eyes.
