All Black girls are African Queens.
Not being defined by the amount of melanin in our skin
Not bodily shamed because some of us are curvier
Not being called a “bitch” or a “hoe” because of the things we do
Because we were once queens
Therefore, we should be treated as such. Not being held higher but equal to our men.
To be confident and dominant when in public
To be seen as beautiful and unashamed women
That’s what makes us the queens we are today
Not because of the man we stand equal to
Not because of the people we associate ourselves with
Because of the way we treat ourselves
Because of our overbearing confidence
That’s what makes us queens.
