Chapter 15

Sarah’s voice was muffled from the tape that was around her mouth. She tried struggling, moving her arms and her legs around to get rid of the numbness. Sweat poured down her face and she was getting scared. About ten feet away, there was someone standing there behind her. She knew it was the same guy; she just wanted him to let her go. She didn’t do anything wrong.

She stopped struggling and heard him approach her with caution. When she saw his face, it wasn’t the same guy like she predicted. His face was covered in a mask and continued on walking. She wasn’t even sure if it was a guy or not. There was another guy behind him and he led him the way to a room. It was the same guy. She stared at him intently. When he stopped in front of her, he removed the tape from her mouth and she screamed. He slapped her face.

“Shut up or I’ll put this back on your mouth,” he shouted hoarsely and loudly. She breathed heavily and tried to relax. She knew she couldn’t relax. One way or another he had to let her go.

“Don’t move,” he demanded to the person in front of him. He moved toward Sarah and released the chains off of her. Sarah was confused yet at the same time she was happy.

“Don’t even think about leaving,” he whispered right in her face. She felt the hot breath of his on her face. He moved away from her and led the person to a room. She inspected him moving her head to a side. When the guy reached the room, he didn’t close the door instead, he left it open. He placed the person on the bed and took off the mask.

Sarah got up wanting to see what was going on. Her legs felt numb from the discomfort because they were chained up. She didn’t seem to care about the pain that vibrated through her legs and up to her arms. She winced from the pain each time she walked. At the door, she watched him remove the mask that hid the guy’s face. She tried to get a closer look at who it was. When Sarah saw who it was, she gasped in horror.

“Billy?” she gasped. He lifted his head and cocked his head to the side and stared at her intently. She moved closer and saw the other guy with a saw in his hand.

“Say bye,” he grinned at her. He moved the blade of the saw towards his head and chopped it off.

“BILLY!!!!” She cried out. Blood spattered everywhere in the room. He cackled and raised his arms again and cut off every limb in his body. Now that she wasn’t chained up, she was able to leave. Yet at the same time she didn’t want to. She got scared from the look that Billy had on his face. She saw the guy get rid of the hair by shaving it all. She winced at the sight. She stood there for at least ten minutes watching him.

She gasped heavily and moved away from the gruesome sight. She scanned the area looking for a set of staircase. Her eyes stopped in the middle of the room and saw stairs leading up. She tried running toward them but she couldn’t. Her legs that were tied up for so long were numb to the floor and she could barely move. She took one small step at a time hoping that by the time she gets to the stairs he’ll still be in the room. She walked ever so slowly yet at the same time she tried to quicken her pace.

She stopped when she heard no noise coming from the room. She tried walking back toward the room where the guy was. She saw him lift his head up without the eyes, the nose and the mouth and saw him carrying his heart that was still beating and crushed it with one hand and blood spewed in his face. Sarah was disgusted. She turned away and vomited from the sight that she saw. When she turned to look back, he wasn’t there. She quickly moved away from the room.

Her legs were still a bit numb. This time she moved quickly. She didn’t care if her legs were hurting her and she didn’t care about the pain throbbing in her legs and arms. Her breathing quickened and she couldn’t catch up with her breathing. She looked around the room and saw that all the windows were barricaded with bars. There was one window that caught her attention. She quickly moved toward it. It didn’t have anything covering it.

She looked around to make sure he wasn’t there. The pain was getting worse in her arms and legs. She cried in alarm and fell back from the pain. She moved up toward the window and tried to open it. It was shut tight and it wouldn’t open. Her arms squeezed tight against the window pane and her fingers were wrapped tight against the end of the window and she pushed it open. Little by little, the window opened with little effort she gave. She barely had any strength left to open the window. When she turned around, she saw him standing there in the middle of the room. She pushed harder against the window and tried to go faster.

“And you thought you’d be able to go. You know what I was going to let you go but you took advantage of me, you took me away, you ripped my heart out and let it fall.” He was right behind her and had Billy’s heart in his hand and sprinkled some in her hair and let it fall. She shook her head and tried to get it all out, but she couldn’t.

“STOP!!” She cried. Tears came down her face.

“Stop!!” She shook her head and didn’t want anymore of this she just wanted to go home.

“Tell me what do you really want? Do you want to go home, is that what it is? But I can’t let you go home because you tried to hurt me. I can’t let you go. I can’t do that. It will break my heart. I never had anyone to love. I need you for that. I need you to give me a chance, but you never gave me that chance. Come here,” he whispered in her ear. He took her hand and led her the way to an empty room that was clean with a bed that smelled fresh. She stopped crying and let him take her into the room. He gently laid her on the bed.

“I just wanna go home. I just wanna go home,” she cried.

“I know, I know. I’ll take you home. I’ll take you to your home,” he whispered in her ear and brought his lips to hers and kissed her gently. He lifted his head up and stared at her and breathed heavily from the kiss.

“Will… yo...” her voice trailed behind and she fell back against the soft bed.

“I’ll take you home.” He drew his lips heavily toward hers and kissed her once again.

She opened her eyes and saw that he wasn’t there. She was able to move around in the small room. The door was closed. She moved toward the door and tried opening it but it was locked. She surveyed the room that was empty except for the bed. There was no window in the room. The walls were covered with wallpaper that might be covering something underneath. There was a little hole in the wall and she moved toward it. Looking through the hole she saw him skin something.

She gasped silently when she saw Heather being taken upstairs. She heard muffled voices at the top and heard the door close. I thought she was dead. Where are they going? Where are they taking her? What’s going on? Sarah was in a panic. She quickly moved away from the wall when she heard footsteps approaching the room. She stopped in mid stride between the door and the bed. The footsteps continued on and stepped away from the door. Sarah moved ever so silently back toward the wall and looked through the hole again.

She saw someone else moved toward the table that was splattered with blood and a dead body. She saw him rip the skin open and throw it on the floor. She saw him raise a finger and bite a nail off and chew it. She saw that he didn’t spit it out, he swallowed it completely. He gathered the body and dispensed it leaving only the skin to play with. Sarah made a disgusting face and gasped. She saw him lift his head up and stare right at her.

She backed away from the wall and fell against the bed. She waited about ten minutes sitting there; scared to death and didn’t know what to do. She heard muffled voices from outside the door knowing that someone else was there or he was just talking to himself. She moved ever so quietly toward that wall but not so close that they could see her.

“We have company.”

“Who’s here?” The other guy just grinned and winked. They both walked away and went upstairs.

Sarah had time to think then, but for some reason she couldn’t. She was unable to think right. Her head was still pounding from the sight that she saw and the pain that throbbed continuously in her body. She wanted to leave; she wanted to go home so bad. She turned around and stared at the wall that had no window. Within those minutes she heard noise behind the door. The door finally opened and she breathed in a sigh of relief.

“Don’t get so lucky. This is all you get for now,” he replied and left and locked the door. Sarah stared at the food that was by the door. She couldn’t even look at it. She didn’t dare to eat any of it. He probably didn’t even watch his hands. Sarah was disgusted from the food and turned away. She tried to sleep only knowing that she wasn’t going to be able to sleep at all. She was hungry yet at the same time she wasn’t. She wasn’t going to eat the food that he gave her. She sat on the bed and cried inside. She crawled under the covers that had a smell to it. She tried to ignore it and tried to sleep.
