Chapter 1: It Begins
I was in my office working when I was mind linked that I was wanted downstairs. There is an uproar about some Elders. I walked downstairs and saw Elder’s Bone and Karen. Not only are they Elders of the packs, but they are Rain’s grandparents.
I bowed and said "welcome to my pack house Elder Bones, Elder Karen."
They bowed and "asked about Rain."
" She is very tired and laying down."
I heard Reaper at the foot of the stairs.
"Alpha Brandon, you need to come up to your room now."
I said "you might want to follow me" I said walking up the stairs.
As we got to the Alpha floor, I saw Rain standing with her back to us.
"Rain are you all right?"
" No," I said crying and turned around.
"How is this possible."
I gasped. "What" I said.
"Elder Bones, Elder Karen we just found out she was pregnant today. How can she be this big in one day?"
"Reaper, I need you and Beta Kevin to check on the other women."
I watched as he walked back down the stairs. I was mind linked and informed that all the women look like they are about to give birth.
I looked at my grandparents.
"Grandma, grandpa this is not possible."
" That is why we are here. Other elders are on their way to the other packs including your fathers."
I started to walk to grandpa and then the pains hit me.
"Brandon, I screamed. I am having the baby."
I picked her up and ran with her down the stairs to the first floor and down the hall to the doctor’s office. The elders followed. While the doctor examined me, he looked at my grandfather.
"I have to push and yelled at the doctor."
"OK, Rain push that is it you have a baby boy,"
" doctor the nurse yelled here comes another one."
" A baby boy, the Doctor said, and a girl."
I laid my head back and took deep breaths.
You could hear the screams of women giving birth. Kelly was in a room down the hall. We heard push Kelly, then a cry. You have a girl, then one more pushes another girl and a boy. Then it was twin boys, twin girls, twin boys, twin girls, and so on. So out of 12 women, it followed as if the moon good had made these children mates.
"I kissed Rain and told her to sleep. I was going to talk to the elders."
I walked into the office and looked at the Elders.
"What is going on I asked them?"
" It seems that most of the women in my club have gotten pregnant, they are all delivering twins. How is this possible?"
"It is not just your pack Brandon. It is happening in every pack around the world."
" What are you not telling us? I need to know."
"A war is coming and coming in the next 100 years. The Moon goddess is preparing for this with pups that all have special powers."
" The children born are going to start training when they reach their teen years. At that time all the children will be transported to a sacred place and trained."
"They will be trained to control their powers. And this can only be done when each as found their mate. The Mates will fight together."
" They are all made to stop the destruction of the human world and the supernatural world. But for the next 17 years just enjoy your children."
" That is all we have to offer currently. What we do know is Brandon that you and Rain’s twins along with their mates will be the most powerful of all the twins born."
"Are you saying that our twins and their mates are supposed to lead all of them?"
" No, just those in the United States."
" Shit," I said and sat down in my chair dazed.
"And how are we supposed to control their powers while at a young age?"
" They will not come into their powers until they are 17 years old. That is why they will be taken to a secret place where they cannot hurt anyone."
" And when will we see them again?"
"After they all learn to control their powers they will return to their own packs and prepare their pack members to fight and help to build better defenses around the pack territories."
"We Elders are going through the old manuscripts to find out more information, but we have not found anything more than that the War is coming. If we find something, we will let you know."
"Let us go see how Rain is doing and the twins."
We walked out of my office and to the hospital. We walked in and I saw that Rain was feeding our son.
"He is a handsome little guy. And your daughter is beautiful, but they are Alphas."
" What are you going to name them Rain? I like the name Sky for our daughter because her eyes are the color of a blue sky."
"And our son?"
" I was thinking either Wolf or Rider. I like Rider."
" Rider it is."
" I just thought I would carry our baby like normal wolfs do not get pregnant with our pups and deliver them in one day. This is crazy."
" Every woman in the pack had twin pups. Not one of us had a single pup."
" The moon goddess has a plan."
" I guess she does" I said.
"Take Rider and lay him down."
We talked as Rain’s eyes slowly closed. She was sound asleep.
"We are going to see if the other Elders might have found something else. We will remain in touch."
I watched as they walked out the door. I leaned back in the chair and looked at Rider and Sky. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
