How would you define happiness?

"I would define happiness as being okay both physically and emotionally. Also having limited cares in the world and being excited for the next day because you know you are partaking in things that bring you joy".

Are you happy?

"I would say i'm not happy. Like I have good moments every now and then but I'm not happy or at least the happiest I could be".

Do you think you'll ever reach the state of complete happiness?

"I don't know if I'm just optimistic, but I truly do believe that I will reach a state of complete happiness. I really do hope it's true because it's the only thing keeping me going".

What do you think is holding you back from being happy?

"To be honest, what's keeping me from being happy is myself. I tend to put others before me even if it means I get the short end of the stick, especially when it comes to people that are close to me. Also whenever I try to pursue something, there's always a voice in my head that thinks of only the negatives and it only gets louder as time goes by. I would say like 87% of the time I give into that voice and end up giving up before I start. Why is that voice even a thing in my head? I don't know but I guess, ever since I was little, it was hard for me to get invovled with other people becuase I would think they wouldn't like me even before they met me and that just stayed with me and has gotten worse".

What do you think is needed before you can be happy?

"For me, I think what I need most right now is courage. I have to be okay with being put in uncomfortable situations in order to grow as a person and to do things that will bring me joy. I know that not everything that makes me happy will be easy. Also I have to stop being lazy. There is so much that I want to do, but when it's time to do it, I push it back and it usually never gets done".

Do you have any final thoughts or advice you want to share?

"I would say that happiness will come one day. I just gotta put extra work in, because at the rate that I'm going right now it's not going to work".
