(9:40am) We’re going downhill again. I can feel it coming. Angelica is ticked at Brooklyn, Naomi, and Desire’ because they “sold” her chair to some cute guy they like in Literacy. So naturally Angelica feels betrayed. I don’t blame her for feeling that way but I don’t want anyone to make a big deal because then we’ll have a repeat of two weeks ago and everything will fall to pieces again. But she’s going to confront them about it. And knowing that particular group of girls for two years, they’re going to get all hurt and offended and then we’ll be back at square one again..
I remember when I was in elementary school how I always told myself I would never be apart of the popular girls. I resented popular girls. I still kind of do, but that’s what my friend group has turned into! I’ve been talking to Jessica lately because she feels lonely all the time and she’s actually really nice. Yesterday she came and sat next to me in the atrium to talk to me during recess. We were talking for a while until I realised my “friends” grew quiet. I turned to them and they were all looking at Jessica with a clear message: leave. I was insightful so I could pick up on it but I don’t know if Jessica did. I was slightly irked by them so I ignored their inaudible message and continued to chat with Jessica. Morgan S eventually leaned over and whispered in my ear, “How do we get her to go away?” I froze for a split second but continued to ignore her and talk to Jessica. I did that the rest of recess.
It irritates me so much! They think they’re so much better than everyone else! It drives me nutts!! And they don’t walk down the hallway. They lock arms, take up the space between the two walls and strut down the hallway, giggling and gossipping. It’s like something you’d see from a movie! I want to leave the table so much but I have nowhere to go and I do enjoy the company of Angelica and Parker.
