Chapter 1

Love. Love is like a flower. If it is two-sided it will bloom and grow. If it is one-sided it will wither and die. Some say that fate brings people together. Some say God while others don’t believe in love. They think it is a waste of time. Some people think there are happily ever afters. Some people think that there are happily never afters. Some people think that life is a fairytale and that dreams come true if you will only believe. Some people think that dreaming is only for sleeping so they should go back to bed. They think believing only causes heartache in the end because they know how cold and cruel this world is. I mean there is lie in believe, over in lover, end in friend, ex in next, us in trust, and if in life.

Hoping is just a way of coping with your fears and disbelief. You say you’re fine. You say you’re ok. But are we ever really? Do we really know what it’s like to be normal? People ask what’s wrong and you have to say you’re just tired because even though that is true you could never tell them because you know it is too big of a load and they wouldn’t care anyway. “Just tired” is just a cover-up for the searing pain and sadness you feel within. Sometimes it’s so painful you can’t describe that you either have to say “I’m fine” or “I’m just tired” hoping they drop it so you won’t cry or go numb again. The worst feeling in the world is when you feel nothing. You’re just empty. There is no sadness, no emotion. You simply exist. You walk around like a zombie, mindlessly, that void covering your body, engulfing you. You can’t cry, scream, or anything. All the troubles of life are weighing you down. You feel like you’re trapped underwater, struggling to breathe. Like you fell into a deep black hole and just keep falling. Falling. Falling. Life. Living is one of the hardest things to do in the world But you know you have to keep on living for your friends and family. To the world, you may be one person. But to one person you may mean the world. They say it will be fine just keep pushing through. But what if you don’t want to push through? What if you just want to lock yourself in your room and cry till your tears have all left you. What if?

“People cry, not because they are weak. It is because they’ve been strong for too long.”

- Johnny Depp

“No one is perfect. That’s why pencils have erasers. ”

“The best cure for worry, depression, melancholy, brooding, is to go deliberately forth and try to lift with one’s sympathy the gloom of somebody else.”

-Arnold Bennet

“And if today all you did was hold yourself together, I’m proud of you.”
