The Mislead Royals

Summary

Superhero movies are a fucking lie, and here's why. In a world with superpowers, the strong usually dictate the weak. Keyword USUALLY, apparently Rico's world didn't get the memo. In his world it was more like the weak fear the strong, so they take them from their families and lock them up. So yeah Rico wasn't a big fan of the whole superpowers thing. All he wanted his whole life was to be able to live like any other kid. Instead he was being shipped off to this crazy boarding school, full of even crazier people. God Rico should've just stayed the fuck home.

Prologue

Let me start this off by saying that I am not the hero in this story. I’m not here to fight to the very end for the freedom of all royals, and I’m also not here to do something crazy like overthrow the government. I live in a shitty society that put me in a shitty situation and now I have to deal with it. What I ended up doing along the way doesn’t really matter but something tells me I’m gonna end up telling you guys anyway.

Hi, my name is Alrico Gonzalez but I prefer to go by Rico. In a world where everyone is born with superpowers and the weak fear the strong I am what most would refer to as a monster. Of course they would never call us that to our faces, so instead they call us “royals” and lock us away in a special school under the illusion of protecting us.

Complete bullshit I know right.

According to history people have had powers for as long as anyone can remember. It’s nothing new and to us it’s just another part of everyday life. A baby is born and at the age of 5 they are expected to have a power. You wanna know what is new? The existence of royals. People that possess powers so strong they could probably take out a group of 20 superpowered people by themselves. The reason this is such a surprise to everyone is because since basically the beginning of time we have had a system to our powers.

The weakest were the omegas, those were the people whose powers weren’t even useful in everyday life. Next are the betas they make up a majority of the population and are the perfect example of an average person. Finally came the alphas, the strongest of the 3 groups and are the people that usually do things like join the army or become government officials. At least that’s where it was supposed to end. Around 20 years ago the very first group of royals were found. They were strong, way too strong to just be considered alphas. As I said before they were immediately feared by everyone.

They were taken away by the government and hundreds of tests were performed on them. After months of testing they never did find out what made us royals different from the rest of society. So instead of blatantly trying to control us they created Victoria Prep a school exclusively for royals. It became a global law that all royals were to be taken from their family at the age of 5 to attend that hellhole of a school. Victoria Prep was founded 17 years ago and it was the very first school built for royals. There were probably other schools around the world that I just didn’t care enough to learn about. (I didn’t like to think about the fact that I might would end up in one of those schools one day.) Hundreds of kids ripped from their families at such a young age I would be surprised if they even remembered what their families looked like. Victoria Prep and all the other nameless schools are basically places they send royals to be brainwashed into thinking that they are a danger to society, and that the government is helping them by isolating them from the rest of the world. From the outside it may just seem like a normal private school, but that is far from the truth. They may dress us up in expensive uniforms and give us fancy dorms to live in, but if you look underneath the surface you’ll see it. The cold hard truth about that God awful school.

They aren’t preparing us royals to go back out into society. They’re training us to be soldiers, they want us to be strong not so we can control ourselves, but so we can protect them. They never once saw us as people, to them we are and always will be nothing but weapons. Tools that they use and throw away whenever they want. And I don’t know about you, but to me that deserves a big fuck you to everyone involved. By now you’re probably wondering why I have such a bird’s eye view of our so very “equal” society. Why I talk as if I’m not a part of this whole fucked up situation, and the answer to that question is that up until a few months ago I wasn’t.

So yeah sit back and enjoy the show. Grab a drink and some snacks and I hope you have fun watching us suffer. You’re probably sitting back in your comfortable bed or chair without a care in the world. But let me tell you something, all good things come to an end. I think I started this shit show by saying that I’m not the hero of this story. I’m not here to tell you that life is sunshine and rainbows and if you haven’t figured that out by now then God bless you. At the end of the day this story is about some mislead teenagers that drew the short end of the stick in this screwed up world.

But you know what? I like to think that as humans we’re all just a little MISLEAD.
