Chapter 1

My ilk recognizes that my proclivity for over indulgence and self deprecation, far outweighs my desire to self aggrandize.

This leads me to a random point that may be tangential. And I don’t give a fuck, so listen to what I have to say!

I’ve been reading Anthony Bourdain’s books and they’ve spawned some searing effects; prolific wonderments on my behalf, you’re welcome you wankers, and a conclusion that really bothered me. In fact, It chilled me to the bone. What I concluded will come later, a touch of coercion to read my confessions.

If you’ve read Bourdain, youre well aware he was an asshole. Unfettered, he spouted whatever clouded his mind. It was clear in his literary ramblings as well as his diction his reality became distorted.

What transpired later in his writing was a precipitous free-fall into hyper-depression and self-loathing. There’s a huge difference between self awareness, jokes and the darkness that ensued in his later pieces.

You can say hindsight is 20/20 or that it’s easy to assess a situation after the fact. It was clear Anthony was mentally unraveling. The lucid notations in his writing that he was “burned out” went un-addressed with negligent apathy. It’s especially troublesome, considering his passed drug use and recovery were well publicized.

He used to joke about his shortcomings. Towards his un-timely terminus, he scribed flippantly jokes about his own self-cessation. I don’t blame his family and friends. He pushed himself to the absolute limit and ultimately made his own choices.

Those I do blamw, are the ones who rode his money train until that little choo-choo could go no more. They recognized his talent and pumped it the moon. All the while, ignoring glaring warning signs that his pace of life was untenable. For that I say, how dare you? It didnt take genius to read the clear pain and agony in his words. He asked for help, but was misunderstood and ignored. Most blatantly, because it was mode advantageous to others to keep quiet.

Rosanne Moroneso: I really like this story and hope it continues. A fed grammatical errors but easily overlooked as I enjoyed reading it.

Annie Kay: The dirt bag behavior with Marcus and erica was annoying and this story was amazing. The relationship development wasn't over time but more over rushed at the end and erica should have lost her relationship with Marcus when he started to be kind to his wife. It was a good story.

2jlynn: How can people do such horrible things... especially to the innocent? My heart hurts thinking of what is reality for some individuals. My life may not be "storybook", but comparatively speaking, there is nothing to complain about.

Deloris McCoy: I’m so enjoying this book. I love the serious side of the characters along with the sorrows, like being in an average everyday life. Also showing the funny side of them. Makes for a good read and not boring.

Deloris McCoy: I like these type of stories. This is a good one. I will be reading the rest of them. Keep writing.

Chaira Leusden: Loved all the books so much. And I just want to keep reading more. Too bad it has to end somewhere
