Incarnation
Sunlight tangled in stained glass
Rainbows shattered on empty pews
Gold tabernacles and cold altar marble
Drowning in endless dogma
Choking on incense smoke.
They say God is here
But I see nothing but men
Faceless strangers in black
Who lay heavy burdens
On fragile shoulders.
I don’t know if there’s a God
But I see Divinity in your eyes
Love in your arms
Mercy in your laugh
Salvation in your smile.
Are we crafted with care
Infused with divinity’s kiss
Or just flesh puppets
Stuck together by nature’s whims?
Is there a point to this heartbeat?
What looks down from the heavens?
Is it endless Love
Or cosmic Indifference?
I don’t know if there’s a God
But I see Divinity in your eyes
Love in your arms
Mercy in your laugh
Salvation in your smile.
If there is a God
Then God is you
I am God
And We are Trinity.
