Summary

If I were a millionaire, people would call me eccentric. Since I am a poor man, I guess I'm simply crazy. If you enjoy poetry, not free-verse, but real poetry, I think you will like my work. I grew up with my mom reading me stories by Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein. Now, at age 49, I can still recite many of those stories from memory. I discovered that people enjoyed my poetry and have spent that last several years trying to emulate the authors that had made such an impression upon me. I am submitting some of what I consider to be my best unpublished poems for your consideration. I truly hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

Chapter 1

An Invitation

I have written this book

If you'd care to look

I hope you will like what you see

If you'll take your time

Understanding my rhymes

Perhaps one day you will know me

I like to be funny

But I'm not always sunny

Sometimes my darkness creeps out

So please turn the page

See my mirth and rage

And read what I'm thinking about

It made it easier to read, and made the unimaginable easier to comprehend. What some people may skip over may be the most important part in this...

EmilieS: Although these poems were written in a larger span of time, you have kept your central topic unchanged – love, lost love, loneliness and missing someone. I appreciate this immensely – staying true to your work, staying true to yourself. My favourite one was “He Still Haunts me Relentlessly”. You ...

ᴄᴏꜰꜰᴇᴇ ʙᴇᴀɴᴢ: The poems are short, they describe everyday actions that most people, in one way or another must have experienced in life. A text left on seen, a love unrequited, losing hope, pushing through. Beautiful messages we all can relate to. Amazing! Keep writing because you're doing great!

explosion poetry: It's written in a beautiful style and good choosen words, and that is the reason why it was painful to read. I felt it all.

Nayana : I love the poems written in the book. Each poem is unique and emotional. The imagery of the poems caught my attention. I love the comparisons made. Would highly recommend everyone to read it.
