Discern

I walk through this open road
On my own
Light is cracking through
But Still I walk into this unknown
Falling down
And I don't know what to do

I met an angel dancing on the water
She smiled as she floated on
I tried to follow but I sank
To the ocean floor of my faith

Can you see me?
Do you feel it?
Am I on my own?
Oh is there anyone?
That can hear me
Or are my words falling short?
Cause I can't fake it
I can't hate this

I just don't understand why you can't explain

I see a lonely door
On its own
I think I lost the key
I hear a cold wind blow
Through the cracks
I feel it sweep away

I met an angel dancing on the street
She dared me to catch up with her
And I tried to follow but I sank
In the quicksand of my faith

Can you see me?
Can you feel it?
Am I on my own?
Oh is there anyone?
That can hear me
Or are my words falling short?
Cause I can't fake it
I can't hate this

I just don't understand why you can't explain

Gravity hurts
But not as much as hope
I, see the signs
But I still don't
Understand

I don't understand

 Can you see me?
Can you feel it?
Am I on my own?
Oh is there anyone?
That can hear me
Or are my word falling short?
Cause I can't fake it
I can't hate this

I just don't understand why you can't explain

I don't understand
Why can't you explain?

I understand now
You don't have to explain

Sandra Estrada: I loved every minute of it and I thank my lucky stars that brought me to the story, it's been a whirlwind of emotions, plot twist after plot twist but I never got tired of them. Abby and Kade's story is a hard one to understand but once you're submerged in their story and love, you can't help but...

GeorgeS: The author has a VERY refreshingly direct writing style. Sometimes being punched in the gut (or nose, as the case may be) can be an excellent thing, indeed. Whatever may be lacking in subtlety is more than made up for in the diamond clarity of character development. I look forward to MORE. I c...

263Adder: Okay so I adore this story. I only knocked one star off plot for historical inaccuracies because I'm a bit of a stickler for that. The ending broke my heart though, considering you already changed history couldn't you (SPOILER) change it a bit more and have them together!!!! I want an alternative...

Mourn8220House: When first reading "Avarice," I thought it would be another fairytale but I was taken back the author's approach and choice of ending. There is little to be said for the story and overall plot besides the sudden twists and speculation, other than that I do not want to ruin a fantastic tale, you m...

Elizabeth Robbins: 4.5 starsAs far as apocalypse stories go, this one took a new direction. I'm glad someone finally addressed the need for a vampire apocalypse! This is sort of a multi-genre festival of delights. With hints of forced societies, vamps, hunters, romance, apocalypse, government conspiracy, and thrill...

Atractivo Sumit: The story is an amazing blend of what we call natural, plain romance along with subtle emotions and interesting twists. The plot is so beautifully interwoven.

Hudson: Your story was fantastic Erin! The Rising Sun was one of the first stories I read on Inkitt, and I have to say I don't regret the three to four days I spent pouring through the story.Probably the biggest strength I see in your writing is your characterisation of Eliana, Oriens, and the rest of th...

Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette. I read the first couple chapters, and I enjoyed your writing style and am excited to see where you take this story. My com...

Animeviewer: It is one of the best stories I've ever read. This story will have you riding a roller coaster of emotions and nearly dying to know what happens next. You will get very attached to the characters and in my case I relate well with some of their very traumatic or emotional experiences, Just Juliet f...

Elizabeth Krohn: I really enjoy the story but the Dursley's hate for Harry to just disappear is not very realistic and does seem to OC for me. MavisMcQueen: "To Live Again" is a well crafted, highly engaging, heart vibrating tale surrounding our favorite Elven King. The author will keep you engrossed until the very end and by that time you will feel so strongly for Clara and the other characters that you will never want it to end...like ever. Thrandu...

Jean Tryon: As a beta, I found this story outstanding!! Plot, grammar, phraseology, etc Rachel gives us it all. She takes the story into the future from where due South ends. She is an exacting and thoughtful author.

sambolie: Couldn't stop reading this!! Beautifully engaging story & I love the richness of the characters. I hope to see the next volume soon! I can't wait to see how the girls carry on to Invasion Day with all that happened.
