Chapter 1

The aimless meanderings of a wandering man
Who woke to the sun and the desert
With robes dragging behind, never taking a misstep
The light and the sweat on his brow will never blind him

He knew of a city beyond the horizon
A sense of place
A sense of belonging
Drawn to a place that he'd never seen
A single-mindedness overtaking

Short of breath
A transparent red
Flowed from his hand as he drank from a cactus

Ran as fast he could
When the wretch appeared behind him
Stumbling, panicking, fearing and falling
A taunting image of the city reaching beyond his grasp

Hurting to breathe
Inevitably
Calmly carrying the unconscious body away

Locked inside a room
At the top of a tower
Table, chair, bed and the rest
To live quite comfortably here

The moon rose and the night had fallen
'Twas still daytime 'round this pillar

Where am I? he questioned
Home, she replied in a rather deep voice
On the other side of the wall
Amidst the bubbling of boiling water

Now I'll be another minute
Before I will come in

It opened revealing her nude appearance of ugly
Was strongly attractive
She began an act that would last for the rest of the night

Seduction
Pleasure
And the tingling between his thighs
But the city beckoned him once more

Many days and nights passed
Before she left the door open
By mistake
He took this chance to escape
Avoiding all of her traps beforehand

Free from his prison
He took a breather at the foot of the tower
Before crossing the barrier
Where the magic wore off

Compass, bow and arrow
Belt, helmet and shield
There will be no tomorrow
As they fly over the sandy field

Now she must create another
To satisfy her sexual needs
He finally reached the city
But as objects levitating indeed.Start writing here ...

PurpleInkling: Hippocrite is spelt hypocrite. Also it is an awesome story! A good one after so long. I was hoping someone would write a good fanficiton playing off what Ron said at the station. ga1984: I really enjoyed it! Characters were deep and plot was pretty complex. A bit on the violent side but it doesnt detract from the story. Very dark but situations make sense. Ends kinda abruptly and later chapters will need some editing work. I'm assuming there's more in the works?

Felisa Yoder Osburn: I really enjoyed the story. Civil War stories are some of my favorites and the intertwining of the past with current times was wonderful. I look forward to reading the next stories.

summerstone: Seriously this is one of the best books I've ever read. The plot is intriguing, I love the narrative style. Its very descriptive and unique, with minimal cliches. MegaRogueLegend666: I love this story so much. It's impossible to describe my excitement with each new chapter in words. The author has such a good writing style, very good descriptions of the fighting and character descriptions/emotions. the plot is also amazing! This fanfic could be a side anime show or novel ......

ernbelle: When I first started this story I was a little unsettled by all of the information that appears in the prologue, and wasn't sure if I would continue. However, I am very glad I did. The plot was very well thought out and really interesting. There were not any page breaks or markers to acknowledge ...

Deleted User: This is a very clever story in the style of 19th century (and turn of the century) Gothic writing, very reminiscent of Stevenson's The Body Snatchers or even of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (less so of Frankenstein itself, since the author is more minimalist than Shelley's florid, Romantic rhetoric). ...

ElNachoWOTC: The grammar is tight and easy too read while packing a great vocabulary and you use a lot of vivid imagery with your words. One of the biggest things I noticed right away is the gritty realism you managed to cram into this book while going into a lot of exotic fantasy material. Including issue...

Alice Liu: Whoa! I've been wondering how would the Maurauders react to Harry's life and here we go! YOU ARE THE BEST! All the characters are consistent with their personalities shown in the book!
