What do you think of when you pray “Glory be”
Do you think that there is a place in existence
Where Glory has substance?
Where it had a color, a taste, a texture?
Do you think that you may have a tiny bite of that Glory?
What do you think of when you say, “…to the father…”
Do you think of offering this bit of glory to Him,
Up on his millennially high throne.
A throne so high it would take a thousand years to climb it.
Do you think of God the Father with his millennially
Long beard that falls ddown to you.
Do you see that tiny bit of glory rising to him?
I is a tiny bit of glory indeed, yet He notices.
Do you see Him accepting it? He does, you know.
What do you think of when you pray “…and the son…”
Do you see Jesus, whose throne stands right next to his fathers?
Do you see him accept that tiny bit of glory with joy and happiness?
He does, you know.
What do you think of when you pray “…and to the Holy Spirit…”
Is it the Paraclete you see, that beautiful dove?
Or is it a tongue of fire, that great comforter?
It doesn’t really make that much difference, you can have which ever one you like.
What do you think of when you pray”…as it was in the beginning…”
Do you think that means they gave you that glory to start with? They did you know.
What do you think of when you pray “…is now…”
Do you think that means that they hold the bit of glory you have just sent them,
From the very breath, heart beat, tfirst thought, you had when you offered it to them?
They do, you know.
What do you think of when you pray “…and ever will be…”
Do you think that they will hold your bit of glory forever,
And still know it came from you?
They do you know.
What do you think of when ou pray”…amen…”
So you know that it means “so be it.”
So it is and was and will be.
