Midnight Crush

It's like magic

when you're near me.

The world suddenly

becomes still.

I feel a peace

that's never come.

Though you don't know it,

and never can,

all I ever wanted

was just

to dance.

That pause button

I can never reach,

when life

only spins faster and faster,

just the mention of your name

brings me relief.

Though you don't know it,

and I could never tell,

yours is the smile

that makes my heart

skip.

Your fingers find

a soothing melody.

Today you played

just for me.

I can't tell…

Oh, how I wish it could be.

Though you don't know it,

and probably never will,

your everlasting chivalry

weakens my knees

every time.

Most of the time

you're with your friends-

me? I've only got one,

and sometimes she just can't be there-

so you don't see me…

no one ever does.

Though you don't know it,

and I would never let on,

I'm the sappy, hopeless romantic,

and you,

you're just…you.

I relish the moments

when you come to me.

We talk, you listen.

I love that you're serious when needbe,

but when you're laid back, and goofy,

I like that too.

Though you don't know it,

and never may,

your rare sensitivity

shines vibrant colors

into my day.

I have no experience

with this kind of thing,

so hear me this once

as, in my own little way,

I attempt to show you

my ever silent joy and ache:

Though you don't know this,

and I won't ever tell,

all I ever wanted

was just

for you to ask.

Mercurial._.Unicorn: The old style of writing is beyond good for today's modern writing styles.I loved the plot and the characters and I loved the way the character development was done. N_F_G: This story was fantastic! It was really enjoyable, and the characters and locations felt real to me as I read the story! Celeste was an amazing character, who survived all her struggles, and I felt the author did an excellent job writing about suicide and self harm- in a sensitive, authentic mann...

William Elliott Kern: Long story, the plot uncovered midway through the story. From beginning, the story was fast moving. Then dragged on for quite some time. The Author was good in describing her characters, their clothing, etc. but a lot of that disclosure distracted from the story moving fast. Not withstanding, the...

Mary Abigail: I have always been a serious reader but reading romance has always been an outlet for me to be happy and this, makes me happy. It's entertaining with just enough drama and maybe a bit more - I do need more.

aoifecollopy22: I loved how the author had the conflict come back later in the story. Also how they passed time without going over anything. That really helped move the story along. This kept my up for a few hours. YOU SHOULD READ THIS
