This is the life I have lived, what I have gone through and what I am still going through. The darkest and brightest corners of my mind are written in this book. A story drawn out in poetry. A light found in the darkness, one that has kept me alive for the past year. I give you my memories, place them into your hand. To do as you wish with them. This is one girl. Showing her true self to the world.

Trigger warning-

(self harm, suicide, eating disorders ect.)

These fantasies I’ve strung up in my head.

Illusions to escape the pain of reality.

A perfect world inside of me,

One filled with sun-kissed skin,

Smiles that never quite fade away.

Laughter ringing in my ears.

A father who was there,

one who didn’t use drugs,

didn’t turn to his fists when he was angry.

One whose hands instead looked at scraped knuckles and knees.

A world where “going outside” meant working or playing,

not to smoke a cigarette, or two, or three.

A childhood that had never been,

and never would be.

But, it’s nice.

These fantasies I’ve strung up in my head.

Dreams that would never become a reality.

A perfect world waiting, to be written across the stars.

pencil: Something pulls at the heart and then distracts and makes it not pull. There is a urgency a haste to read and rally at the schizophrenic mind. But the schizophrenic mind is never sane and it is very unrelenting and not reliable. The images come and go and there is not much one can speak to someon...
