Used and Abused

Maybe this was the day she’d finally cry her eyes out.

Everything and everyone she really cared about,

They all became to her misty, blurry… sweet illusions…

All twisted up, made into a single

fusion.

They were to her figments of imagination

Tears to them became such a sweet, sweet temptation

They’d be tempted to taste the cool salty water

Yes, I’m sure that’s what they were all after

Or maybe it was her soul they wanted

A soft golden soul, so well handcrafted

Their hands itched, ready to just snatch it

And snatch it, they did….
