A new feeling

I saw a flower,

Waking up with the sunrise,

Waiting for the butterflies and bees

To pick the nectar,

So it can feel free

And dance with the wind.

"So easy and beautiful" I said.

Until it started raining,

The petals were broken

And shattered on the ground.

I realized, things are not always

What we see, the perspective, the view

Is what needed.

It went through a lot,

The heat, the dirt, those big heavy rain drops

But still managed to show the beauty.

I opened my eyes,

The flower was gone,

It wasn't the same,

But this time I could still see the beauty.

The next day was new,

A new flower in the same bud,

But it wasn't the same,

It wasn't like before.

It was like a new feeling

Inside the same body,

The same sad body.
