Chapter 1

There once was a lad who looked to the sky

And sang his own song to the clouds

‘May one day I be free from the darkness I hold

And learn to be free as a bird’

The clouds in the sky would cry for this lad

Their tears bringing life to the land

Time went on and never did cease

Their poor lad still looking above

As time did not cease their lad met a girl

Who had stars in her eyes and such glee

The lad fell in love with those stars in her eyes

And the clouds continued to cry

The lad grew up and still looked at her

Despite her leaving the world

His eyes now still looked up at the clouds

Him singing a new song

‘May one day I be free from this darkness I hold

And once more be with her’

The lad sang once again to the clouds

His eyes crying for them instead

The clouds then continued to cry

Hearing to him a special song

‘May one day you be free from the darkness you hold

And be with me once more

Then you will see what it truly means

To be as free as a bird’

The clouds are gone

No more reason to cry

The lad now cold lay under the sun

Musket in hand still warm

sujitha nair: What's so distinct about this story was that it could easily be real. Praveena can be your classmate, neighbor or that girl you saw at the coffee shop today. The important decisions she makes and the dilemmas she faces, remind us of our own twisted lives.

Patrick Johns: The Prince was an exciting read. I enjoyed the spoiled bratty protagonist and his drastic change through out the story. The world building was well though out and clear. The author did a great job painting a picture for the reader without having a map. I liked the connection to real life leaders....

littlebite22: This made me think. About the world around me, about what I think of others. We rarely get to see or hear what others think, and this is such a great example of not judging a book by its cover. Also very well written.

MissMadokaKaname: I was impressed and moved by this work. The characterization and dialog were strong, and really brought everyone in the story to life. Also, the setting was handled in a believable and compelling way. The story captured the complexities and pain of love, and also the harshness of living in such b...

ank1983: I really enjoyed this story and I read through it quickly. I found it very entertaining and some of your scenes were very well written and descriptive. Every time a chapter ended I couldn't wait to start the next chapter. What girl hasn't fantasized over a cute teacher at school?! The story did...

FreakyPoet: I found this story well written and extremely cute. I like how the emotional roller coaster, otherwise know as love, was done here. it was very believable that these two characters would deny, agonize, then come to except their feelings the way that they did. I enjoyed it very much, thank you ...

dapharoah69: I gotta hand it to you. This was a great read from start to finish. I am a big fan of witches, thanks to Anne Rice. The characters really reeled me in from the very first few chapters. You make reading fun.

Bboyjoon: A brilliant but unsettling story about 5 murders committed by a serial killer. This novel scared me a little bit and I have to commend you for being able to do that. I wanted to know if you’ve actually met a serial killer before. I mean the way you’ve described the mind of a psychopath is extreme...

Silver: Its a very good story you have here. Felicity´s ability is interesting and original, I love it. The setting of a hostpital was a good choice, especially since we get the scene with the other interns, gives it a very real feel. There wasnt much plot for me to rate, so I´ll update as the story prog...
