"Hello," you say.
All of a sudden, my heart races.
I say, "Hello," then continue with,"Nice to meet you," and end up starting a full conversation.
What do you do?
Do you stop me, like everyone else has?
Or do you let me continue, brightening my entire day?
You said one word.
Suddenly, I won't shut up.
A lot of the time, I have one conversation with you, then leave and never come back.
There could be a few reasons for this.
One: I'm scared I made a bad first impression.
Two: I'm scared I'll make a fool out of myself.
Three: I feel like you feel you have to talk to me.
You don't have to.
I can tell when you want me to leave.
If I can tell, I'll end the conversation.
If not, it's because I'm so relaxed talking to you that I feel like I don't have to use that sixth sense.
That's a good thing.
It means you're easy to talk to.
So if you're going to say, "Hi,"
Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.
You might become my new go-to friend.
