The Unknown

Hello, it's nice to meet you, but I can assure you it won't be nice to meet me.

Why? Well I thought it would obvious, don't you know who I am?

Well of course you don't, with a solid foundation, no one can detect me.

Some people don't even know I exist, I defy almost all of the five senses;

No one can hear me,

No one can smell me,

No one can touch me,

No one can see me,

But I can promise you everyone can feel me.

I am that feeling that you get when you walk into that cursed exam hall on the first day of your GCSE's.

I am that feeling that you get when you hear your mother asking for her prized possession that you accidently broke, despite her warning.

I'm that emotion that skillfully courses through your veins, burning every stream of sanity within you.

I am that...

Chest clenching, breath restricting

Voice stuttering, Body trembling

Confidence shattering, joy killing

I hurt people, I kill people, I ruin people.

I cause darkness, restrict light.

And as a result I'm hated. Along with the people that caused me. Are you one of them?

Oh yes, that's right, you don't know who I am yet. Well, here's another clue...

I'm known for breaking hearts.

Have you guessed who I am yet?

No I'm not Fear, but we coexist.

No I'm not nervousness, he never sticks around.

No I'm not depression, she's too dark. But I can morph into her.

So who am I? I'll give you one last guess.

I am Anxiety

An emotion that causes disorders, depression

An ill-fated sensation caused by, bullies, society and trivial expectations.

So yes, my name is Anxiety, it's nice to meet you...So now that you know me,

Don't be the reason that someone is affected by me.

William Elliott Kern: Whew. one telling his story, in the Bar, to his friend, who questions some circumstances that need clarity, The Confusion comes from a man, carrying his dead friend Chappies, while conversing with himself, and Chappies, and his alter ego......a broken mind, not yet forgotten..........The Author ...

Christopher Calvo: Truly a wonderful read and very well written! Love the characters and character development, and can smell the frybread as I read it! Can't wait for more as we delve into the Buffalo Summer.

Avell Kro: I've only just started reading this, but I can see that this writer really knows her stuff. Her theme is painful and traumatic, and her sense of place is deep and strong. Being originally from Yorkshire myself the story resonates with me personally, but this is good writing. I look forward to com...

littlebite22: This made me think. About the world around me, about what I think of others. We rarely get to see or hear what others think, and this is such a great example of not judging a book by its cover. Also very well written.

Katy Blair: This is definitely a must read!!! I am not saying anymore, because I do not want to give away anything related to the story. Just read and find out how truly amazing this story is!!!

May May: Honestly, this is a very interesting story.I enjoyed every chapter, hats off to the writer!

Fake Normality: The only thing might've been that the dialogue was a tad unrealistic a few times, but otherwise, I'M OBSESSED

Ariel: First book from the Author I've read, and am extremely impressed and very much satisfied that this story was a short-story, yet, filled with great writing, fantastic characters, and all I'd like is more, please. Malice, she is my favorite!!

Wilbur Jasin: I liked the book. The story is great. The author really did some quite research to come up with something like this. The book needs some editing but otherwise, it's a great read. Can't wait for the second book.

Lydia Sherrer: I first read The Speaker almost a decade ago when I first discovered author Sandra Leigh. I loved it then, and I still love it now. It is a simple, easy read, yet deep in meaning and rich in storyline. I do not know what kind of research or prior knowledge Leigh has of First Nation tribes, but sh...
