Two pieces of twine


But are pulled apart

What was meant to be is no longer

Like magnets, the twines attempt to meet once more

Even seconds of time

Yet are unable to do so

The human continues to pull at them

Keeping space between both but with an infinitesimal distance

As if the human was teasing the two

They could communicate

Yet could not meet

For the twines were different

One twine was born as a boy

The other as a girl

The human did not hold the desire for the twines to weave for eternity

For once they caught hold of one another

It would be nearly impossible for them to separate

The human was successful

And the twines were lonely

They were throw away

For without their opposite,

They were useless
