The stress is too overwhelming.
My face wettens as the tears trickle down.
The sand on my feet crumbles off
as I walk along the beach.
The worries roll off my back,
disappearing in the sand,
Digging themselves in the grains like clams.
I walk along the rocks,
quickly studying the stones before setting my feet upon them.
The waves crash against the pebbles, hitting my legs in the process.
The cold feeling of the ocean water warms me,
and I realize the irony, alone.
