Chapter 1

The world awaits

Awaits for something new

Something to make their hunger abait

But truly they haven’t a single clue

A clue would bring the world to focus

Focusing on the things that broke us

Thinking of the dark and deep

Through us the sorrow does seep

But then a new thing comes

And we’re adding up the sums

Then it flies us by

And we don’t care about a thing

So there it goes to never return

The song we used to sing

The year flies by and we stay here

Stuck in our own little worlds

We think the world revolves around our little thoughts

But in fact, it does not

Instead, we realize now we aren’t as important as we thought

The world goes round

Nothing new beneath the sun

Boredom strikes from deep inside

The darkness comes in a great big tide

The world goes round in its big circle

That only it can understand.

The world goes round in its big circle

And here we are just to stand

But then we learn

We learn of light

And then we turn

To see the light

The light of God is reliable

It turns us in to

What we might find desirable

And we might be like him too

So now we know that we can stand

On the rock of God

Nails were placed inside his hand

And still we think of him as a firing squad

We speak of Him like He is nothing

Not knowing of His second coming

We say His name in vain

They don’t know that He was slain

For us He died upon a cross

We have no idea of the loss

He was killed for our sins

So we could see the light again

He healed the blind

Hoping to help mankind

He cured the sick before our eyes

Yet still we looked down upon Him

Was this holy man not good enough

We beat Him down and He couldn’t be tough

For He was humble, calm, and sure

That He knew what He was dying for

Then came the people who had seen the light

Spreading the Scripture for His delight

So His word could be shared

To anyone who really cared

From high above He looked down in shame

All His work had gone up in flames

Lying, cheating, murder, war

What happened to the world He was looking for

His disciples tried to change the ways

Of people who had gone astray

But even they could not reverse

The horror down upon the Earth

So now there’s people like you and me

Who believe in Him unconditionally

We spread His word for all to hear

For all to know far and near

AyomiG: This was an amazing novel, really well written and I love the flow of your books overall. The chapters were a bit short, granted they were mazing poems but I was waayy to excited to read this book in one go. Absolutely amazing, just sad it finished so quickly 🥺🥺

ᴄᴏꜰꜰᴇᴇ ʙᴇᴀɴᴢ: The poems are short, they describe everyday actions that most people, in one way or another must have experienced in life. A text left on seen, a love unrequited, losing hope, pushing through. Beautiful messages we all can relate to. Amazing! Keep writing because you're doing great!

Emiley: I'm really sorry that that happened to you but rn the best thing you can do is if ur boyfriend drives you somewhere to get away from the hell hole cause when stuff really hits fan just run with him and cut ties with your parents get a job and establish stable income rn I'm only 14 but I sure as h...

Laraine Smith: I was also a victim of verbal, physical, and sexual abuse by my father. One time, he threatened to beat me with a belt. This story enabled me to talk about it. Thank you. :)
