I Could Go on for a While

I’m like a traveler

Searching for an icy drink

From a desert journey, I just came from

When I take a hold of the well

Where your frozen words are, I would drink my fill

And I know I could go on for a while

When my thirst is quenched

I can then battle out

My longing to go back to the arid desert I am escaping from

But after a while

The desert scent would pull me close

I know I could go on for a while

But I keep coming back

For the desert, for the well

For your frozen words

For the cycle of you.
