In Separation, No Tears to Waste

Yesterday I read a passage

If love was real and there

In separation, no tears to waste

If it was true and present

In distance, less grief spent

The lines also said something about

Genuine heart offered without strings

Could rest in silence, unfettered

For if it was love steadfast

You know you’ve given all to the last

Some parts paved the way

Realizing the selfish scent to beg

To cry and scream, to pull hard

And if loss ever come home

You know that love is meant to roam
