I Flicker, Though Dim

I flicker, though dim

If not in your consciousness

Then in that tiny corner of your mind

Inside the forgotten door


As your visit becomes rare

Day by day, the gas which fuels the flame

Gets siphoned slowly into the ether

The darkness of that little room getting wider


The door has cobwebs

Meant to stay that that way

Brightness has to be stopped

From spreading and giving light to you corridors


I flicker, though, dying

And as slowly I become nothing but an ember

I hope one day that when you see the soot

The blackness will remind you of how our chain turned out
